While the doctor is grand, and the front staff used to be likewise, something has changed - and the current state has made me decide to take my business elsewhere. After having ordered frames and lenses for computer-prescription glasses, I decided to finally order prescription sunglasses. I picked out the style, had the measurements done and was told they'd arrive in two weeks. What arrived was an atrocious-looking, 1970's style pair of sunglasses that I'd never have picked. When I pointed out to the staff that these were not the correct pair - the amount of stonewalling (from initially proclaiming that I had provided the frames to them, to outright lying to me then accusing me of not knowing the types of frames I had selected) and the lack of any sort of understanding, apology or attempt to make things right makes it seem as if these folks are trying to hide their illegal activity: e.g., bait-and-switch sales promotions. The frames I initially selected cost $100 more than what I was provided. Not only THAT, ccording to the staff, the sunglasses frames are not "model" samples, they're the actual frames being purchased. In other words, during a global pandemic, these folks are selling "used" frames (floor model examples) without any regard to spreading disease - and they're selling "used" frames at top-dollar prices. What. A. Scam.

But the next time I went in to look at boots and shoes, I wasn't greeted so I just looked around. The third time I went in I decided that I needed the Artic Muck Boots, so I paid the $145 to have them. When I went to the counter to pay, I asked about any sales on the Dansko shoes. I was told that in the Spring they will have a trunk show. Then I was asked by the cashier in a very snide and condescending tone "Do you know what a trunk show is???" I replied , "Yes" and then she said, "Well I don't know when it is, but it's sometime in the Spring." So for the attitude, the judgement, and the air of snoodiness, I am giving this place a 1 star review. All customers are important, and assumptions shouldn't be made about the status of a customer based on skin tones. I have been in the customer service industry for years and know that all customers pay the salaries of those who work behind and in front of the counter, and respect should be given to all. When I bought the boots the young girl, of about 17 was semi helpful, but she looked scared to interact with customers. She cracked a smile by the end of the sale because I had mentioned that I was afraid of offending her with my potentially stinky feet. LOL. However, I went with the boots, although not flashy, but definitely protective and worth the price. But I will not be back and will advise all of my friends to shop online on Macy's, Amazon, Ebay, or in New Hampshire. That way you'll be treated fairly and won't have to worry about feeling comfortable in the store and will be treated equally. End of review!

When my husband bought sneakers recently, the sales person was very attentive. Today I went in ready to spend a gift card, and was ignored. Two young sales women in front stood there chatting about what they were going to wear to a party. I was looking in the nearby shoe department and no one asked me if I wanted anything. I noticed 2 other women totally fending for themselves in the shoe department as if it was Discount Shoes. When I picked out items to try on, I had to seek out a salesperson to help me. Since I had just been to the new LL Bean store, where customer service was excellent, it felt extra weird. I found items I wanted and the cashier was very pleasant, but I might have spent more if I felt someone cared I was there.
