I subsequently called back, asking difficult questions about an unusual insurance situation, wherein the windshield broke while I had comprehensive coverage but I since (foolishly) canceled the coverage. Tom seemed to have complete mastery of how to handle this and everything worked out great. Both Tom and the installer who did the work seemed very, very experienced and answered all my questions with a great deal of precision. I highly recommend.

I was very patient and followed up about once a week for several weeks. The first couple of times, I was told or given the impression that someone would be coming out, but eventually they stopped responding altogether. What's most frustrating is that they knew the windshield was leaking every time it rained, yet weeks went by without anyone coming to fix the issue or even responding to my messages. I gave them plenty of time and multiple opportunities to make it right before leaving this review. I would have been completely satisfied if they had simply followed through and fixed the leak.

The most recent was a mobile installer arrives after 4 PM on Saturday, 9/26, to replace my windshield only to find out the windshield is damaged. He then tells me I have to wait until Wednesday (9/30). I asked to speak to the manager to see about expediting my install. The earliest option was an in-person appointment on Monday 9/28. I show up at 7:20 AM on Monday (today) only to be told the part didn't arrive. I called my insurance company to inform them of the nonsense and requested another vendor for my repair. I would NEVER recommend Safelite to anyone and hope my insurance company rethinks using them as a vendor.

This time, I found a company Yelp recommended, went to the them first and got a written quote, then submitted it to my insurance company for approval. My insurance company approved the quote in a day, and by the next week I had the check to cover the entire cost of the replacement. Then I called Mike's to schedule the repair. I had to put a deposit down first, which I was expecting. NOTE: they charge a fee when you pay by credit card, so use check or debit card if you don't want to pay any money out of pocket for the repair. Day of the repair my car was taken back right away while I waited in their small, but clean, waiting room. It took about an hour and half. I loved that at the end I got a report showing all the calibrations were done, and my new windshield passed. I would definitely use Mike's Auto Glass again.
