Disclaimer: I'm not heavy into opera or know a whole lot about them. However, this place was a WOW moment. Being in Vienna, the most incredible, historical, full of life, music and character, city in the world - a visit to the Opera House was needed. We are so glad we did! They have all kind of seat selections, balcony, floor and even standing for a more budget friendly approach. Our little balcony section was awesome though it had a heavily blocked view we were able to hear everything so clearly plus we had the little screens where you can follow along with the vocals. It was an unforgettable experience and so worth it if you're in Vienna visiting. You can also book tours and learn all about the history of the opera house which I think would be fascinating to learn.

The level of detail here is incredible - every corner feels like a work of art, from the ornate ceilings to the grand staircases. The performance was equally stunning. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time by calling the box office, or even as late as 20 minutes (cutting it real close) prior to showtime from one of the authorized sellers on the streets near Philharmoniker StraBe (these guys are all dressed in 19th century costumes and lugging what looks like a speaker box, but it's actually a printer to print tickets on the spot)... so, it's legit! A truly enjoyable and entertaining evening with performance by the renowned Vienna Mozart Orchestra in magnificent Baroque period costumes and wigs.

How Vienna ticket office online can sell these seats at any price to unsuspecting tourists, will remain a mystery. Horrible seats. These particular seats have NO VIEW of the stage. I don't mean obstructed view. NO VIEW. Imagine looking through a key whole in a hot stuffy broom closet with a tiny view of the ceiling spotlights and you'll get a sense of the experience. Now, imagine paying 39 euros for that experience. Though extremely difficult to enjoy due to our seating conditions, I recognize that the opera house itself is gorgeous and the orchestra is excellent.

The view was absolutely perfect. It was an incredible evening from start to finish. The acoustics were phenomenal, and the entire performance was breathtaking. The solo violinist and the female opera singer were true standouts. Their performances felt like pure magic and were among the highlights of the night. The Vienna Mozart Orchestra appeared in beautiful 18th-century period costumes, bringing the music and atmosphere of Mozart's era vividly to life. A truly unforgettable experience and one I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Vienna.

About a dozen musicians, two singers and two dancers. Very entertaining show and it was obvious that all the artists loved what they were doing. After dinner, we went to another room and for me this is where the magic happen. The 9 piece ensemble of strings, piano, percussion, played classical music composed by Mozart, Strauss, Beethoven in the city they lived and maybe composed masterpieces being played by very talented musicians. To see the Viennese waltz danced by a elegant dancers in Vienna felt perfection to me. The male and female singers where so delightful in their rendition of classical songs. At the Kursalon, I understood what Vienna is about...it's glorious culture of music that spanned centuries is being performed on this stage for the audience to experience it's notes that stirs your emotion. It's spiritual as I felt a connection to the past, transported by the performance on stage. I fell in love with Vienna.

It was absolutely amazing and captured the audience's attention the entire time. The musicians were fantastic, the dancers were wonderful, and the singers were just outstanding! The venue is a bit old, and could stand a little freshening up, and the chairs are pretty uncomfortable, but overall the experience was great! This was our second time coming (the first visit was during covid, so it was an entirely different evening!). I imagine there'll be third visit if and when we make it back to Vienna.

We saw a lovely string quartet concert. We were looking to add a musical performance to our trip…read moreitinerary that was not too pricey. It was a little frustrating because the tickets had "musikverian" in all caps but the concert was actually in the konzerthsus down the street. Our uber was still outside when we realized the mistake so we hopped in and were at the correct hall in under 5 min. There were multiple performances going on at once and we accidentally got ushered into the wrong area. If you don't speak German give yourself plenty of time to find the correct hall. The concert we saw was open seating with no bad seat in the house. The room was small enough that you could see all the musicians very well. There was a brief intermission which served drinks and lite snacks. The program was one euro. Highly recommend so that you can follow along!
