Stephanie's calm presence, great listening skills, and masterful organizational strategies were so helpful and continue to keep me on track. I went ahead and did some coaching and found that I enjoyed her input. We would talk about the issue at hand and she would say, I hear you saying ..........Sometimes I would question myself on what I was saying. she actually helped me take action on the things I wanted to achieve. Since I have met with her I have taken action. An example is taking my kids and grandkids on a memorable trip and make memories. Accomplished. We all went to Belize. The things I have been putting off for a year or more she would challenge me to take a step. Another example is taking videos of teaching my practice of Qigong and tai chi. To help me look at myself to better my skills. I am looking to teach after I retire. She helped me in taking steps to downsize more to live small so I can travel. Whether renting a small apt or keeping my small condo. Lastly to get my affairs in order with a trust fund. Best money I have spent for myself without the influence of family or friends. Thank you Stephanie! I appreciate you!

My kiddo needed services from Resolve after being referred by her former therapist. This review is…read morenot a reflection of the other metro locations and solely based on this location alone. We used Resolve from January 2023- up until around late last summer. Location: 5/10 The location is ideal, but can be far for folks that live further south. Sadly, it was inconvenient for us. Telehealth is available, but keep this in mind for evening appointments when are battling rush hour and peak travel times. Availability: 2/10 The LSCW we were paired had limited availability. She booked clients back to back, with little breaks in between. This made it difficult to schedule anything with her. Her latest appointment was 8pm; which worked for us briefly, but it quickly led to her burnout and emotional unavailability to my child. It was also pretty difficult to get ahold of her. Initially, I had to reach out to the front desk/admin to relay a message or schedule an appointment. I finally requested her direct email to reach out, which slightly improved communication. Vibe Check: 2/10 The office itself is nice, but the vibe was way off to me. The decor reminds me of a dentist office in the late 70's, early 80s and smelled like the plastic bib they place over you before starting a cleaning. It just did not feel very welcoming or inviting to me. I always felt awkward being in the waiting room. I know it is not easy having your child go to therapy, but nobody looked happy to be there. It was the ultimate doom and gloom. Nap time: 0/10 During my child's sessions, the therapist would wrap themselves in a blanket and doze off. This was no surprise to me, as she scheduled her last appointment at 8pm. Eventually, she started cutting back her hours to be done around 5, but at that point, burnout had set in and the damage to my kid had been done. This is beyond unprofessional. Improper Termination: 1/10 I really do not think termination was properly done with my kiddo in a way that provided closure. Luckily, we were able to find services with another therapist, but there was just lack of communication and closure at the end of our time with her. Again, this is due to burnout, which is common with therapists that book the way she did. Overall: 2/10 I cannot recommend this Resolve location to anyone I love and care about. I honestly believe there is not great management at this location because I observed burnout and the therapists did not seem happy to be there. There are better options in the city for therapy services for your kiddo. (KC PCIT)

She is also sensitive to my belief systems and respects and works with them to discover my inner self. It has been quite the journey and the pieces of my life are starting to connect to define a meaning. I just finished my second session and came out with a sense of calm and a peaceful mind. Unlike my wife, I don't recall sessions after coming out; only recall feelings, Annie recounts sessions descriptively and shares recordings of my sessions so I can get a better understanding. I think the right QHHT practitioner is one you can connect with, and Annie really connects to me on an indescribable level. Joy, sincerity, empathic, sweet, guiding, caring, and filled with love. These few words describe, but do not encompass all that is Annie. She is so much more. Give Annie a shot. My recommendation is to be open and have a goal on what you're trying to get out of the sessions. That reason can be fluid (as I've found). Go in with a set of questions you want to ask your higher self about anything that weighs on you. Acknowledge that it is natural to want to know what is unknown to the conscious self.

Parents beware: my first and only session with Courtlynn Rose at Armstrong Family Counseling in…read moreOverland Park was a deal-breaker. She appeared to be in her mid-20s and, by my understanding, only about three months into practice. From the start it felt as though she had already drawn conclusions from my 14-year-old son's perspective without asking about or being aware of his full clinical history. When I tried to provide context as a parent, I was repeatedly cut off before finishing a thought. Instead of listening, she seemed intent on steering the conversation toward her own assumptions. As a parent of five children, this is not my first rodeo. I know the difference between guidance that builds maturity and dynamics that simply fuel conflict. What concerned me most here was how her approach seemed to escalate tension rather than calm it. At times she came across more like another teenager--closer in age to my son than to his parents--than a professional guide. The effect, in my view, was more "stirring the pot" than fostering understanding. Therapy for adolescents should balance perspectives and guide them toward growth. Instead, this felt dismissive of the family context and risked reinforcing adolescent self-focus--something Dr. Jean Twenge's The Narcissism Epidemic cautions can fuel entitlement rather than building resilience and accountability. I left that first session and will not be returning. In my opinion, parents looking for a counselor who truly listens and provides steady, thoughtful guidance should look elsewhere. --Dr. Martha Davis
