Our driveway was 6 inches lower than our garage and the walkway wasn't lined up to the driveway or patio. After a few outrageously expensive estimates from several companies and a few aggressive sales pitches I came across Concrete Chiropractor. The estimation process was simple as they asked me to take pictures and included a guide on how to do it. They followed up with a phone call and explained the process to me. They then sent me a DocuSign document (contract) and told me they would be in touch to schedule in a few weeks. When the crew showed up they again explained the process and in just a few hours everything was fixed perfectly and the price was fair. In fact they don't haggle or play games just give a fair price for the work.

First let me say I really hate leaving negative reviews. The owner was nice enough but didn't do…read morewhat was agreed upon. He was supposed to install a sleeve under the driveway so that electric and water can be run to the other side but it "slipped his mind" and he "forgot". He offered to dig one in after the fact but said my new driveway would look like he filled a pot hole after the sleeve was patched over. What he should have done was offer to put one in then put a thin coat of asphalt over the entire driveway so it would blend and still look new in the event he was unable to match the asphalt. The driveway is also uneven in places, has thin areas and thick areas and small dips in it, mainly where they used a blowtorch. But worse, they got asphalt on my siding and he said he'd come back and look at it but never came back again. I gave him every chance to fix what needed to be fixed according to what we agreed to do when I paid him. Silly me forgot to make sure the sleeve was explicitly stated in the quote - I wouldn't be leaving this review but handling the matter in small claims since he didn't want to correct it. His quote came in less than his competitors, but as the old adage says "what's cheap is expensive". Now I have to pay someone else even more money to put in a sleeve where the driveway meets the road which will make the project more than the highest quote for the job. Thanks, Dave for saying you'll do a great job I'll be happy with than not making good on your promise. ETA. I don't appreciate being called a liar. He forgets we texted and I have receipts (not included). We last spoke on April 17. He says he'd come "next week" but never came. I left the review on May 3. He had the opportunity to return. He just chose not to. Maybe that "slipped his mind" too. But thanks for the rude response. Now I have in writing what was not included in the contract - that we agreed the price quoted would include a sleeve. So now I have the proof I need to take him to court to recoup the costs of having to put it in after the fact. Hope he marks his calendar when he gets the court notice and not let it "slip his mind" to show up. Note: I never complained about the shape of the driveway. The only thing discussed about the shape was the driveway curving out when it meets the road. I made no mention of that in this review, and how does that have anything to do with getting asphalt on my siding and neglecting to put in the sleeve? Dave had 3D rendering of exactly what I wanted. Typical deflection. Very disingenuous of him to attempt to flip the script and make his incompetence my fault. This person is a horrible person. Stay away.

He sent me pictures of his work, and seemed like a good fit for the job. Once the contract was signed we were given a rough list of materials to purchase, which we did right away. Everything started ok, then the walls and floor were opened up. They told us that the sub floor was sinking and had to be re-joisted, although not in our budget we agreed to do the work since we wanted it done the right way. We agreed on a price and continued on. As they were working a pipe was cut by accident and water started running down the walls and into our basement. The plumbing issues were fixed and Fittin did in fact absorb the cost of the repairs. Please note there was never a professional plumber on site for any of the tub/sink/toilet installation. It is the responsibility of the business to inform their client of any other fees or items they should be aware of, as they are the professionals. That is why we hire professionals to do work we don't know or understand. Given the proper information their clients can them make an educated decision on whether to cut a corner or take a better step to a solution at a price. Problem 1: First time showering, all the water came through the living room ceiling. Upon hiring a plumber at our expense, the plumber noted that the tub shoe was never connected - meaning the drain was never hooked up to the pipes and the water was just draining into the ceiling of the floor below. Now we are left with a wet ceiling and walls that need to be repaired. Problem 2: The plumber also took a look at the sink and noted that the "s" trap and vent were never installed. Without this sewer gasses can enter the room. Problem 3: We were never notified that the tub surround wouldn't be installed correctly (direct to stud) not on top of the dry wall. We were never given the option this was just done without consulting us, and without letting us know if this was to be done the right way it would have cost more. Problem 4: The ceiling light and vanity light are currently operating on the same switch, and the ceiling light does not work independently. The vanity light is also not adhered to the wall. Problem 5: The HVAC line going into the bathroom was sealed off, this was never an option to seal it off and has been a point of contention between the person from Fittin that did the work and us. Now we are left with having to hire an outside person to fix this problem as there is now no heat coming into the bathroom. Problem 6: The tub is rocking and we found out it was never set in anything, as the plumber suggested it should have been set in strucolite or a foam. Now we have a tub that creaks and rocks every time you step foot in it (no matter what weight). The worst part about all of this was the fact that Tom threatened me, saying that if we did not give him a 5 star review that he was going to triple our plumbers bill for the plumbing work they did at no charge. At no point did we ask for any work to be done for free, we just wanted the job done right.

I stopped and spoke to Pete from Associated who came to my home and gave me a price that was much lower than any of the other quotes we had gotten. He explained that they used large industrial equipment because they were primarily in the business of paving parking lots for businesses I agree to have them pave my driveway and they came and tore up the old asphalt with one of those machines you see out on the highways. There was a slight delay after that due to weather which was completely out of their control. They came back and paved the driveway thicker than it was before. It is now perfectly smooth and even. We could not be more pleased with the work, the professionalism, and frankly the friendly nature that Pete brings to his business If you need paving done I would highly recommend Associated for the job.

Anyway, I ended up going with a different contractor and the job was completed 3 days ago. This morning, the same guy not sure if he said his name, but I recognized his voice and tone said he was following up. I told him the job was already completed and he went on to ask how much I paid. I responded that I did not feel comfortable sharing that info and he got nasty and very aggressive. I hung up on him but for anyone to verbally harass someone because they did not get the job is totally unacceptable. I'm glad I listened to my gut with this guy and went with someone else. I am seriously thinking about filing a report with the BBB but not sure this company is even affiliated with them. I can see why they have so few reviews.
