There's definitely not nearly the quantity that you would find at a place like Salvation Army or Goodwill. But that's made up for by the kind people and service as well as the incredible organization in the store. I will definitely be back. The prices seemed fair, and they also had certain items that seemed extremely affordable and reasonable. As you can see from some of the photos, there is a book section, a music section, a HomeGoods area, a clothing section, which actually seemed the most sparse, and other areas like the toy play area. The friendship circle is an excellent experience for students to learn life skills. They begin their day by going to the simulated credit union where they can get a wallet as well as insurance card. Next, they can go to various simulated experiences varying from the doctors office as well as pet store there are so many different fun experiences for the students to learn these life skills. They use money provided by the friendship circle to buy these experiences so it teaches them financial literacy as well. I highly suggest that educators check out the friendship circle for their classrooms to help them gain a further understanding of financial literacy as well as life skills.

I can't emphasize enough how important an organization like this is. I have a parent (mother) who essentially is neglected by the family but particularly the spouse in the family. The spouse will (in front of her) praise her but when she is away he will say that he is a victim of her...when in fact he is the abuser and the manipulator. She essentially spends her days alone writing notes to herself and has stopped communicating with all others including family and friends. When she does have love and kindness shown to her she replies with the same, but the spouse has no initiative to help her get any checkups related to her physical or mental health. While she physically slips away and mentally slips away even further her spouse has made no effort to help her. To me that is neglect and a form of domestic violence. In the past the violence was much more direct with physical abuse (multiple types) and verbal abuse. The victim in this case has no willpower to do anything sadly. Still I struggle to get help and to reach out to this organization or others even though I know I should because the situation is so toxic. My mother remains isolated and stuck in a loop of behaviors (repeated writing notes to herself, repeated lack of communication) that are self-destructive as well. We must do more to make the process easier and to support each other in the community because it is still very difficult..,
