I have used this place for many years and have been very happy up until today. My wife asked where I have ordered all her flowers that have been delivered to her. She needed flowers to send to a friend due to the death of a relative. I thought they would send a beautiful arrangement for $80 ($60 flowers and $15 delivery + tax). She was not happy with what arrived and well to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I guess using a local or little guy is no longer the way to go. I know I am not a high volume customer for them but I am a high volume internet person. I doubt they will even respond to this. Did they get a new owner or manager or just don't care about their business anymore. I will no longer use this place or recommend it to anyone. Could have went to Publix and got nicer flowers and a lot cheaper. Stay away and find another place for flowers. read more

Very disappointing experience. Left her with a large vase expecting a $75 worth of flower display . Went back 3 hours later and she presented me with a display that looked like I had purchased a bunch of grocery store flowers and dumped them in a vase . It was for a guest of mine that had come all the way from CA so I was pretty disappointed. Lady did say she could transfer cheaper flowers into a smaller vase and make it look better but it was too late at that point . Bottom line ... bad display and u r not getting your monies worth. read more

My boss sent me on a trip here to get flowers for a co-worker's birthday. I looked on their website for pre-made bouquets and although everything listed was reasonably priced compared to other florists, it was still out of our limited budget. So I headed there to talk to them in person and see what they could do for us. The building itself is very small and a bit old, but the customer service, quality and selection offered here make it a fantastic place to get a custom bouquet or plant. I explained to the florist the amount we were looking to spend and within a few minutes she created a beautiful wrapped bouquet of fresh, fragrant flowers and I was on my way as a happy and satisfied customer! I ordered a simple bridal bouquet for my destination wedding with white roses and other white flowers. They delivered them to my hotel on time at the requested delivery time. They gave me advice on how to keep them fresh until the ceremony time. The bouquet was well made and wrapped on the bottom to keep them hydrated, however some of the edges of the white roses were a bit wilted at the time of arrival. Not a big deal though, not very noticeable. When comparing their prices online to other nearby florists, their prices seemed a bit lower. Overall I was satisfied. read more

Open Air Designs was a life saver for me. I'm staying at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort and booked a photoshoot to redo some wedding pictures. I thought I'd have enough time the day of to go somewhere and pick up some flowers. I did not. When I realized I'd need some flowers delivered on the same day, I knew I'd need some local help. The concierge gave me their name and I called at 2 pm, needing a bouquet by 5:30 pm. I didn't care what the flowers were as long as they could get here in time. I went about getting ready for the photoshoot and as I'm thinking, "I hope the flowers get here," boom! There was a knock on the door with arrangement in hand. They were beautiful and much more than I deserved on such short notice. I talked to Courtney on the phone who was very polite and helpful. The flowers even had some ribbon on them as if they were to be used in an actual wedding. They were some of my favorite flowers too! Lilies and tiger lilies in purples and yellows. I'm so grateful to Open Air Designs for being able to accommodate my very last minute request and for coming to the rescue in the floral department for me! read more

As I am in Maine I went on line and looked for a company in the area. At Open Air Designs they were very accomodating, they made the delivery that same day. I typically don't feel inclined to leave reviews, but I thought this would be helpful for others who are thinking about ordering a delivery from Open Air. They've been someone who my family has used for years and they have loved. However, I recently ordered flowers for my grandmothers birthday, and living out of state, I trusted they would get them to her in a timely manner. It took them 5 full days to deliver the arrangement to her house. I was never notified of the delay until my aunt asked me if I had remembered to send her flowers. It's just disappointing that I put my trust and money into their delivery service and she ended up with a 5 day old arrangement that I still paid full price for. read more

Me and my fiancee stopped by this store yesterday to pick up some flowers for a friend. When we arrived, there was no one in the front of the store. I called out and a woman came out from behind a double-door. We asked if they had a specific flower and she said "Yes I have one arrangement left over but it's my last one." She took it out from a refrigerated cabinet and placed it on the desk in front of us. It was obviously there for awhile as it was already on sale at a discount. Some of the flowers in the arrangement were wilted and the water in the vase was dirty and appeared to not have been changed in awhile. My fiancee asked if there was a box that she could put it in. She appeared to be annoyed and said "I don't think it will fit but here." She placed a box on the desk and attempted to stuff it into the box. It was odd to us that she didn't offer to freshen it up a bit or do anything at all to make it look nicer. We would've even paid more if necessary. Maybe they mostly deal with wholesales instead of direct sales? The feeling we got was that we were distracting her from whatever she was doing and she just wanted us to be done and out. We've shopped at a lot of other flower shops in the area before, but this lack of customer service was definitely not what we expected when we chose this store from Yelp. read more

This is the second time I have used this florist and I don't know how they did it but they surpassed the earlier arrangement they did and that one was AWESOME, TOO! This time I asked for a tropical arrangement and JoAnn did a beautiful arrangement of orchids, lilies, bird of paradise, roses - JUST MAGNIFICENT!! The girl it was given to just burst into tears when she saw it. You can't get much better reaction than that!! The only choice in the area you should consider for your wedding. The owner really knows her business and has the ability to create unbelievable arrangements within your budget. She consulted with various details of the colors, style, theme and venue to help me come up with the ultimate final product.
