The array of beautiful flowers/greenery the shop utilizes is whimsical and top-notch and unique. Go ahead, peep their IG page but don't be surprised if you get addicted to viewing the beautiful creations. Hyde Park Village IG often features beautiful arrangements on their page from Florist Fire. They certainly are an asset to Hyde Park Village. The owner, Gayle, runs a tight ship and she seems to employ only the very talented floral designers. Her weddings and venue stylings are stunning! She also offers workshops on how to make your own arrangement and flower crown ones as well-how cool! Gayle is very passionate about her line of work and its evident she loves sharing her passion with others! The first time I received flowers from here they were from my family. What a gorgeous array of types of flowers and colors were employed. I have popped in on occasion to buy loose flowers as well. The stems she has are beautiful! I also ordered a floral crown for my maternity (pregnancy) shoot that I did, as the silk crowns the photographer offered were nice but I had seen what nice work FF does with crowns and I knew I wanted one! April came through for me and delivered a beautiful crown with florals in the color palette I requested that morning I spoke with her and she only took around an hour to create it! I was amazed! (I ordered one a few days in advance but somehow the time was overlooked). I appreciated the expedited order and the stellar customer service I received from April! She even noticed I had called before the shop opened at 10am (caller ID because I didn't leave a message) and she returned my call unprompted. What great service! I hired Gayle for my wedding this past October and my goodness was I absolutely blown away by her work!!! I actually hired her on the spot during our first consultation because she was the first florist I met that made me feel like my vision was 100% do-able with my budget. Not once did she tell me that I couldn't have something. If anything, we made edits to the type of flower or she made suggestions to re-use pieces from ceremony to reception. Even later throughout the process, she was understanding and incredibly kind when I had changes I wanted to make. When I first walked into my wedding venue before our guests had arrived, I was speechless. The decor, the garlands, the florals (especially the suspended floral halo!!) --EVERYTHING was 10000% in-line with our vision. She even added additional table decor (that I never saw prior) that really added to the boho/fall vibe we were going for! She completely understood our vision and did everything she could to execute. This is the second time I've used Florist Fire and I gotta say it's good, it's really good. The first time I was dealt with professionally and politely and got a very nice product for a very reasonable price and that's why I returned for the second time. Now, let me tell you why they have EARNED me for the third time that will be upcoming. I ordered some beautiful flowers that were delivered late Friday afternoon to my wife's office. I ordered "something that will last a little while" what they delivered was a great bouquet that my wife loved. Since they were just delivered late Friday she did not add water (as she should have) to last the weekend. Monday morning the flowers were dry and drooping and she was very disappointed. I called Florist Fire and she explained that fresh pack flowers "consume" a lot of water immediately after being cut and arranged to which I believe to be true. She then said not to worry they would be sending replacements. They did not have to do that as I completely understood the reason (I'd heard this before) and it was our error but she did it anyway. My wife received another beautiful bouquet just minutes ago. Service is sometimes as important as price and quality and these folk did service as it should be done. I called around 10:20am and asked for an arrangement. I got there at 11am and the arrangement was ready for me to pick up. Not only was it ready, it was beautiful. The unfortunate thing is all the construction right in front of the shop and lack of parking. However, that doesn't impact the rating of the actual service & shop. I was greeted kindly by the woman working there, she acknowledged that I was in a rush and helped me as quickly as she could to get me out of there--knowing that I had parked blocking off traffic. I put an order in online for a birthday delivery 3 days in advance. The money was taken from my account, however, the LATE morning of the scheduled delivery...I received a refund and cancellation due to the fact our desired zip was not in their area. I wish I would have known this a few days earlier so I could have still got flowers to my mom on her bday. If you can put an order in online and have your money taken, a quicker turn around on a cancellation would be nice. I went with The Potting Shed and they were able to get it there in less than 24 hours. read more

Gayle and her team are truly wonderful!! I was maid of honor in a wedding that had to be moved from Charleston, SC to Tampa, FL only 4 days before the wedding, due to a hurricane. With only 3 days notice, Gayle was able to find the exact flowers the bride wanted for her original bouquets, even though they were harder to get, and created absolutely stunning bouquets for the bride and her bridesmaids.
