I initially went to her for a myofascial message, but soon after she suggested I would benefit more from craniosacral therapy. I wish I could describe how such a light touch therapy works so well, but I cannot. All I can say is that, in Mel's hands, craniosacral therapy has given me pain reduction, nervous system calming, and overall physical and mental relief, in a way no other physical or mental therapy has ever given me. And, I have done years of physical therapy, acupuncture, meditation, mental therapy, regular message, etc. She's so intuitive that sometimes she narrows into working on problem areas I didn't even know were spasmed or clogged until she releases them. I felt like the sheet was pulled down my buttocks a slightly bit more than what I'm used to and I felt a bit exposed. I tried to think nothing of it at first but then I felt like hands went down to reach my mid buttocks vs. stopping at the end of my lower back like what a tech normally does. In my experience, other male techs I feel like actually keep me more covered in that area than my women techs for comfortability. I also feel like hands don't normally reach into my armpit area in order to massage the back of my arms but it happened during my appt today and it felt like it was an inadvertent way to touch the side of my breast. Unsure if I'm overreacting but I do get massages monthly from various places and this one intuitively felt off for some reason. Nothing else notable beyond those interactions. I did feel the need to pull the sheet back up to cover my buttocks and it seemed like after that, the remainder of the session resumed back to normal. Unsure if I'd go back, but for any women that are trying it out for the first time I'd just be cautious and maybe advise on going with a female tech.
