We sat at the bar and ordered drinks and chatted during the shift change. Sports played on a nearby t.v. Being once employed bartenders, we enjoyed the friendly banter behind the bar and carried out easy conversation. Super friendly staff, excellent service, and the British accents are never a disappointment. Will hurriedly return for another dose!

I have been there quite a few times, with absolutely no idea of who/what was playing and each time pleasantly surprised with the quality of music that is on show. The bar is not that big which helps in making the atmosphere as it doesn't require many people to give it that full/pumping feel. And as much a people squeeze into the back, there is always room at the front for a little boogie. After the bands back up, a DJ is generally on hand to lay down some tracks and set the mood. When I visited they had a great live free-style hip-hop, show put on by two guys from Berlin. The show was top-notch, the sound great, and the crowd was well mixed and hopping. Strange to be at a live hip-hop show and not a brother there to representing the black man, but whatever. Since there was a live show, there was a 14 CHF cover which I though was worth every cent. Drink prices where also quite reasonable, costing 6ish CHF for mixed drinks and wine. The people working there where very laid back and friendly. Worth noting here is when you order vodka, they will not understand you unless you pronounce it vood-ka, but maybe they where just giving the foreigner some shit. :) The location is stumbling distance from the Hardbrüke station, nice to know when it is pissing rain. Over all I highly recommend Helsinki as a drinking and live music venue.
