Vivaldi is a great little boutique clothes store. It is located in the centre of Bruntsfield Place…read morein Edinburgh, just a short walk from the city centre so it is an easy store to reach. Vivaldi sell a vast selection of unique and eclectic women's clothes ranging from everyday clothes, to practical work clothes and to evening dresses. They stock a selection of different designers so there is bound to be something in this store to suit everybody's style. I bought a lovely summer skirt from Vivaldi a few months ago, which was around £50, and is absolutely gorgeous. I have worn it a lot and it has been washed several times and it still looks as good as new. Vivaldi also sell a whole range of women's accessories such as handbags, jewelry, scarves and best of all, shoes! The shoes which Vivaldi stock are from a range of different designers and they are all completely beautiful. Vivaldi is a complete treasure of a store and it is definitely a must-see shop.

The best thing about Vivaldi is without doubt the accessories, and I have a good few bags from here…read morebecause it is my Auntie's absolute favourite place to shop. I'm not complaining however, because although the clothes in here aren't my cup of tea, the bags are beautiful and really hard wearing. Vivaldi stock different brands and designers so the price ranges vary but I would say everything is pretty good value because absolutely everything is fantastic value. Brilliant store out on Bruntsfield Place.

Cute as a bug's ear!!…read more What a great little shop! It's chock full of quirky handmade items, interesting trinkets and at least four pairs of shoes that WILL be mine. Plus, I can honestly say, I would happily take home ALL of the homeware in this shop. Highlights? The Hannah Turner ceramics are ridiculously adorable - the salt and pepper shakers? *dies* A nod to the Candrilla (I'm probably spelling this wrong) - the completely random and yet, oddly perfect gorilla candle in a mason jar. And the Ruby Shoo Shoes - besides sounding like something out of a Dr. Zeus story (which is delightful in and of itself), this retro inspired line is right up my alley and i'll definitely be keeping an eye on what's new with Ruby Shoo. It's probably a good thing I don't live in this neighbourhood, because I could see this store fast becoming a problem. Well worth stopping by if you're in the area and a new destination spot for my gift giving conundrums.

This shop is just super C.U.T.E. The best thing is that the pretty goods from Dandelion are…read moreethically sourced. I'm a big fan of Fairtrade and love that shops like this exist and showcase just how great fairly traded items can be. The lovely lady on the shop floor was cheery and upbeat; I felt welcome and free to browse. This shop is just perfect for a gift for a friend or a treat for yourself and has items catering to a variety of budgets. It was a quick stop on the route home but this first time visit was enough to tempt me back soon.

Even as a Yelper who has laughed way too much at Rayan's STFU posts about people who talk way too…read moremuch and inappropriately about their kids, I'm not anti-kids, and have reviewed a fair few little people places because of friends and family that I shop for. I had seen Maddie and Mark's a few times and when it was my niece's birthday recently, this was my go-to shop. They have a small range of clothing and accessories - branded organic cotton clothes which are aimed to be used as said little person grows - dresses become tunics, so I thought this would be perfect for my niece who is 12 months but currently wearing 18 month clothing as she is growing so much. The shoes are the main draw. Because little people's feet are developing then good shoes are a must and a whole host of brands are available - from sturdy shoes to trendy shoes, such as converse, a whole host of types and colour's are here. Yes, some of them are not cheap but they are very good quality. I picked up a gorgeous pair of jelly 'Melissa's' for my niece - yes, it is official, she is trendier than me, but they are way more fashionable than the 80's jellies most of us remember and that might have to do with a certain Vivienne Westwood. They also smell amazing and in hot pink they are perfect for holidays. It is not the Clark's horrors that I'm sure some of us will remember - I wanted the Melissa's in my size and I was wishing such cool options had been available when I was a little one. I was £56 for a dress and the Melissa's. The policy is an exchange if anything needs to be returned or a long lasting store credit and the time limit for this is normally I think 2 weeks. As my shopping was heading West, I was told I could have longer than the two weeks and I was able to exchange for a larger size easily. Service is friendly and helpful - the sizing for little people's shoes can be confusing so take staff advice if required. So, I'm sure I'll be back here for more presents - a gorgeous pale green pair of converse caught my eye, but my niece is too small for them - at the moment...
