As a licensed cosmetologist who is no longer practicing, I can tell you Shiloh is right on with her sense of cut and color. A true "hair artist" is hard to find - almost anyone can "cut" and "color", but to envision and do it well, to cut and do it expertly, and to color perfectly....the girl has skill. Expect haircuts to be in the $40 + range - but they do include shampoo and blow dry styling. A bargain for Park City - and well worth the drive if you are from SL. read more

Took my daughter to see Hannah yesterday for her first haircut in Park City. Saw good reviews on yelp and made the appointment. After we returned home from the haircut, my daughter noticed a large chunk randomly cut out of her layers, and the layers do not blend, they look chopped and horrible. She only asked for one or two long layers, as her haircut is straight and simple. Daughter is VERY upset. There is nothing we can do, since she already had an inch cut with Hannah, and she is trying to grow it out for summer. Very disappointed. read more

I have roughly a third of my head shaved and the rest of my hair is super long and blue. I desperately needed a re-buzz and a hair wash. I'm staff at Sundance, so I have very limited breaks. I had to reschedule once, but I went in today over my lunch and saw Casey. We got the buzz done and she washed my hair in cold water, as I requested as my color is so specific, and did a really nice quick blow dry so I didn't walk outside with soaking wet hair. All in all, the scheduling was easy, everyone was super nice, and I was in and out within half an hour. Not sure how they are with other services as this was my first time, but I'm so grateful that they were so awesome with my schedule and what I needed! I'd definitely go back if I lived here in Park City! :) read more

I have been going to this salon for several years and think Shiloh is the best! I even fly from Miami or San Francisco just to see her! She is a great stylist and colorist, super nice person and always gives me the perfect hair style! For a while I was having her do the same old style that I had for years (long layers, angled in front nothing fancy) until she suggested bangs and some other 'features' that I never would have thought of doing! All her suggestions have always been spot-on and I get compliments on my hair everywhere I go! Oh La La Inc Hair Studio is terrible. I have tried to like them and gone back a few since everyone seems to like them. i have thick hair and have never had an appointment where they have booked me enough time and have had to walk out with partially dried hair, my mom and sisters have had the same thing occur. the worst part is they never apologize about it and make me feel guilty for backing up their day. However the worst was that i went there to go blonde, knowing from past experience that it would be a multi step process I was very upfront and aware of that. But they said that it would only take treatments. In that time they managed to dye my hair ORANGE and destroy my hair. I had to pay a lot of money to have it fixed and Oh La La Inc Hair Studio never apologized nor did they discount me. read more

I took a last minute trip to Park City and had to cancel my regular cut and color and could not rebook for two months. I read up on Yelp and decided to try Ooh La La while in Park City. I got a last minute cancellation with Dalina. She was great and I love my hair cut and color! I have a pixie cut and am really particular about who I go to so I was a bit concerned going while out of town. The salon is nice and I would highly recommend. I travel a lot and I wear lash extensions. So I've had them done in a lot of different cities throughout the United States. I went to Callahan in Park City and she was amazing. Not only fast but my lashes were never fuller and lasted longer. I highly recommend Callahan for a lash fill or a new set. read more

So happy with my haircut from Callihan! I had a cut a few months prior from a guy that did a horrible layering job. I asked Callihan to cut all my hair to the same length to get rid of the bad layers, but to preserve as much length as possible. Callihan talked me through different ideas to keep more length and I ended up going with her idea of shattered ends, which allowed me to keep a couple inches of length that I would have otherwise lost. It turned out amazing! I wasn't expecting her to work such a miracle on my previous cut. It was a pleasant surprise. She will be my go-to stylist from now on. read more

I went in to get my black/brown hair lightened to a golden brown. I was in there for 5 hours and Callahan bleached my whole entire head and then proceeded to add color. At the end my hair was an orange yellow diasater. Callahan (the stylist) sent me home and told me to come back an hour later; which I did for another dying session. I walked out with brassy damaged brown hair. Two weeks later my hair turned completely orange and I came back asking them to fix it. Not only did they charge me an extra couple hundred dollars to fix it but I had to blow dry and straighten my own hair at the appointment. Three weeks later my hair was back to an awful brassy orange color. My hair is permentantly damaged from the unnecessary bleaching. My career as a model relies on my appearance (including my hair) and I will never return to Ooh La La Salon. Over charged with awful results. read more

I first went to Jessie Jarvis at Oh La La when I was in Park City for Sundance in 2007. I asked for someone who was great with color and she was recommended by the receptionist, and now I have seen Jessie without fail every year since, for 5 years now. My hair looks the best it ever looks all year long after she does it. The highlights, the lowlights, the cut and the style are always amazing. Jessie has fixed the damage done by other stylists numerous times as I live in LA (it's amazing how many people cannot get blond right, but Jessie does every time!) Very dissatisfied. I saw Sydney for all over color. I have dark brown hair and she asked if we where trying to match it. I said: " yes but I don't want it black. I don't like it very dark". I ended up with jet black hair. It's been years and years since someone messed up my hair. She gets 3 stars because the job she did coloring it was ok. the styling was nice except that's not the color I wanted or asked for. I specifically said not black.Very sad. My friend and I were in town for a wedding weekend and decided to get our hair did at Ooh La La the night of the wedding. Unfortunately we had to go one after the other because they didn't have enough stylists to do us both simultaneously, but upon arrival at the salon, our stylist was the only one around. Either way, she was lovely and so friendly, and took good care of us. The actual blowouts were just okay; we were slightly disappointed with our do's but for 30 bucks, we can't really complain! Went to Oh La La with my mother, sisters-in-law and mother-in-law for our wedding day hair and makeup. Tara did the most amazing job with my hair. It is fine and straight and will not usually hold curls or waves. Tara listened to what I wanted and put in the time required to make it happen. The style held through the whole afternoon and evening of changing, hugging, dancing, etc. All of the women at the salon were friendly and accommodating. My hair used to be a very subtle ombre. I came in just to have the roots done and the ends refreshed. Whoa, what a terrible mistake! My ends are now fried, and despite being very clear that I wanted a subtle look, I ended up with very blonde ends and very dark roots. I also have a very distinct line between the two colors. Such a disaster! The stylist offered to try and fix it, but I'd already been there two hours and had a newborn to get home to. It will probably be a couple weeks before I can schedule another appointment to fix it. She didn't charge me, however, I don't have the luxury of spending two hours for someone to ruin my hair. The color can be fixed (I assume? I hope!) It's the condition of my hair that worries me most. The bottom half now looks dead and dull and sounds a bit crunchy. If you try this salon, stick to the stylists the other reviewers listed by name. All stylists here are clearly not equal. read more

WORST HAIRCUT EVER. Yesterday was one of the first days off that I've had in a very long time, so I decided to squeeze in a hair cut and eyebrow wax. I called to see if I could walk in, and they said they could fit me in about two hours from my phone call. I came in and was greeted by Leslie, a stylist who said she's been cutting hair for over 3 years. She sat me down, and I told her that I would like my very long, thick hair to have a trim and lots of layering to decrease the bulk. Before washing, she brushed out my hair so aggressively that I was constantly cringing and having my head yanked back. I have a tough scalp, so I thought this was pretty excessive. When washing my hair, she didn't even massage my head... this may not seem like a big deal to some, but I know most of you out there look forward to that more than the cut itself. She waxed my brows while my hair sat with the conditioner in it. It took nearly 15 mins and several applications before she handed me the mirror to check. It was not a very good job, but I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and just accept it (I could fix them later at home). When cutting my hair I noticed that she was not cutting in the way that I asked: to incorporate layers. Instead, she cut it so my hair barely tapered straight across... it looked like she held onto my ponytail and whacked it off. She asked no questions and looked for no clarification, she barreled on ahead juggernaut style. Finally, just before she starts styling my hair, I ask her if I can look in the mirror and see how it looks. I was devastated. I told her that it was not what I wanted and that I need more layers. All she did was pull out a razor and do a quick job on my already blow-dried hair. Then she proceeded to style without asking if that was better. She straight-ironed my hair. I have never straightened my hair in my life, and if I had known what she was doing (I was facing away from the mirror) I would have promptly told her to stop. However, her next appointment was waiting and she was clearly in a hurry to get me out of there. When she was "done", I looked in the mirror at my straight, pyramid shaped mop that was now five inches shorter than when I came in. I knew we were past the point of no return, so I bit my tongue, paid my money, and ran sobbing to my car. My boyfriend said "Why did you have them chop it all off?" He recommended I go to Lunatic Fringe to get it fixed, which I immediately did. They were amazing and gave me exactly what I wanted. Bottom line: I don't know about the other stylists, but I wouldn't recommend Leslie to my worst enemy. read more
