I have twice had to fight no show fees for appointments that i didn't schedule. Their phone and online scheduling system is the worst. You cannot get in touch with a person. Serious concerns regarding delayed care and threatened cancellation for a minor…read more My minor child was evaluated at Southwest Michigan Dermatology, and a prescription was written during the visit. However, after the clinic became aware that my child has Medicaid insurance, the medication was not processed in a timely manner, despite the visit already being completed and treatment initiated. In addition, I was informed that my child's upcoming appointment would be canceled if a new referral was not provided, creating further delay in care for a minor patient after services had already begun. This was extremely concerning and caused unnecessary stress for both my child and our family. This experience raised serious concerns about continuity of care, ethical standards, and equitable treatment of patients based on insurance type. Insurance status should never interfere with timely access to medically indicated treatment, particularly for minors. I am sharing this experience so other parents - especially those using Medicaid or government insurance - can make informed decisions and ask clear questions before seeking care at this practice. When a pediatric patient's care is delayed or placed at risk due to administrative or insurance - related issues after treatment has already been initiated, it raises serious concerns regarding adherence to basic pediatric medical ethics and obligation to prioritize a child's medical needs above all non - clinical factors.

First for a scheduled aneurysm flow diverter placement by Dr. Kreitel with one night in neuro ICU. Two months later for a brain bleed from a skiing accident when I stayed overnight in neuro ICU again. Excellent care again by ER staff and neuro ICU nurses. Two days later I stayed another night for a suspected brain rebleed... I don't know how ER staff handles the chaos. Nearby a man threatened 3 security guards & a nurse. They took care of it and In think maybe he was arrested, not sure. Anyway I share this because I was originally taken by ambulance to Bronson where they removed my C Collar, plopped me in a wheelchair where I couldn't hold my head up...and it turns out I sat there ignored with a subarachnoid hemorrhage...That was after I told them my helmet was cracked in 1/2, I was on blood thinners and needed a stat CT to rule out a bleed cuz I had brain surgery 2 months prior... Bronson ignored me so I had my son come get me, called Borgess neurosurgery who ordered a brain CT, then admitted to Borgess. At this point, I'm team Borgess all the way.

You are definitely in the wrong place when he subsequently tells you the recurring boils are a result of poor hygiene (not the case, and obviously not) and discourages you from asking for a dermatological referral, saying "they are going to tell you the same thing and get upset with us when we can handle it ourselves." He also refused me a staph test and was hesitant to actually provide treatment or pain relief. While at WMed, I had to advocate for myself more than I've ever had to. Had I not, I wouldn't have found out that my condition has a name. It has a treatment. I'll be receiving that treatment from a provider who actually listens, cares, and most importantly has knowledge grounded in science & experience versus powered by Google search. I do not recommend. There is better care to be had and people are NOT guinea pigs.

Around the beginning of the year they switched my pcp to somebody who did not even understand the english I was saying, he wrote a dangerous reckless unintelligible prescription, any doctor would know that writing "put three estradiol patches on every single day" is ludicrous. IT DOESNT EVEN MAKE SENSE LOGICALLY. This guy seriously wrote that and saw nothing wrong with it. Absolutely DANGEROUS MALPRACTICE, thats not even the worst part. This issue has been brought up to them several times now, they tested my estradiol levels and they were almost 900, the doctors then look at me and say "well its not dangerous because its not over 1,000, because thatd hurt your liver" ARE YOU KIDDING ME. My body has been destroyed and my life bas been taken from me by this disgusting reckless clinic. THEY LITERALLY ASKED ME IF THATS A COMFORTABLE LEVEL, LIKE IM THE FUCKING DOCTOR, they have destroyed my entire endocrine system.
