Planning my son's Bar Mitzvah was a daunting task. The expense and amount that needed to be done was overwhelming and I needed to figure out a way to rein it in. I received a list of vendors from our synagogue and called all of them. The only one that was genuinely willing to work with me was OnTheMarc. Amanda and Marc understood completely what we were trying to accomplish and our budgetary restrictions. I am not saying it was cheap in any way, but they worked with me to achieve the perfect combination of quality and ample food at a, at least fair and manageable price. And, I have to say the food selection was incredible. I cannot tell you how many of our guests commented about it. However, the experience with On the Marc was so much more than just that. The staff was ample and incredible. EVERYONE was attended to at all times. Jacqui, the on-site lead was not only helpful leading up to the event, but she was invaluable at the event. It took such a load off our shoulders knowing she was there. I would use OnTheMarc over and over again if I could and I recommend them wholeheartedly for any event. I cannot thank them enough for what they did. I didn't want to put on such an expensive affair, but they did something I didn't think was possible - made me happy I did it. read more

As soon as we visited On the Marc for our food tasting, we knew that the food would be fantastic--and more on that in a minute--but OTM really set itself apart with the service. They greeted our guests with flavored waters when they arrived (hugely helpful for a mid-summer wedding), had servers ready with drinks and food as soon as cocktail hour started, prepared an appetizer platter for a quick private moment as newlyweds, and much much more. A few things stick out over all though: first, the servers were so attentive that they realized a friend of mine was absolutely smashing one of the appetizers and kept bringing those to her (even learning to take the mint leaf off as she did). Second, they rolled with the punches as we realized we may have screwed up some food placards, accommodating our request to check with each guest to make sure we had it right. Third, they had servers march out all at the same time to bring courses during dinner services, a super-professional touch which gave the service a white-glove-service feel. The food was delicious, and everyone kept commenting on it (even on the dance floor where they brought desserts!!). Overall, the food was amazing, the only thing better than the food was the service, and we highly recommend OTM to anyone considering them! read more

Headline: Ran out of food; bride and groom ate styrofoam Attended a beautiful wedding in Tarrytown catered by OnTheMarc. They ran out of food which is a mistake but could have been forgiven if they tried to solve it and provide food from a nearby restaurant or store. However they then tried to hide it so the wedding party wouldn't find out!! They provided 3 options for the main course - fish, veg, and meat (beef). They failed to purchase enough meat so began to ration the beef by cutting portions off existing platters. Then they couldn't do that so tried to force fish on guests by pretending the guest had ordered fish and acting confused when a few guests called them out and asked for their original order. They instructed guests not to tell the wedding party about the problem to avoid culpability. Guests directly discussed the issue with the owner of the catering company who apologized but who refused to do anything to mitigate the issue (including giving a refund for the dinners that weren't fulfilled; purchasing more beef from a nearby place, etc.). Then, the bride and groom cut their cake and it turns out part of the cake was made of styrofoam. The bride and groom were made to feed each other styrofoam. The strangest thing was upon discussing all this with the owner (he was not on site but discussed via phone) he asked "how old are you" , "what do you do", and then blocked the phone number. This is the most unprofessional business we have dealt with in a long time. They should be reported to the BBB - in fact they will be. read more

My first baby is due in early November (2020), so while I really wanted to plan a baby shower, there was so much uncertainty during this time of COVID. Despite everything that was going on, I decided to move forward with it and host my shower at The Inn at Longshore. Having the event outside with an intimate group was the PERFECT decision. We were blessed with an absolutely gorgeous late summer New England day and held the shower under a (beautiful sailcloth) tent, overlooking the water. You really can't ask for a better view! The teams at the Inn and On The Marc were extremely attentive and on top of every single detail leading up to the day making the planning process seamless. Having been a former employee of On The Marc, I knew that there was no other food that I would even consider serving at my party (that also means that I had pretty high expectations because I know what it should taste + look like). The food was beyond delicious (wood fired mini pizzas, hot buttered lobster rolls, hummus bowls, gazpacho...just to name a few). And the desserts - WOW (I have quite the sweet tooth so these were also very important to me). Beautifully colored French macaroons, a naked carrot cake, cookies, etc. Not only did they look beautiful but they TASTED soooo good. The staff were excellent, top notch. I know how important it is to have good staff at an event and they did not disappoint! I really wanted to be able to enjoy the day and feel like a guest at my own party - which was exactly what happened. I had my wedding at The Longshore Pavilion in July and to say it was absolutely perfect would be an understatement. Working with the team at On The Marc was seamless! They helped to ensure all the details were coordinated and nothing was left for me to even think about on the day of. My husband and I were looking for a different type of menu- and the chefs came up with a perfect combination of Brazilian cuisine which worked perfectly for the season and location. Our Captain the day of, oversaw all aspects of the venue and ensured the timing for the food throughout the evening was perfect. I've known Marc since High School, his passion has always been food. Marc's length of experience far exceeds any caterer or Chef that I know. When most 16 year old children were playing video games, Marc was working countless hours at restaurants as an intern or working on his craft at home. I've seen Marc's business flower from a home kitchen to a full service commercial kitchen and growing. Through all his expansion, Marc has never lost site of the customer experience, he continues to train his staff with weekly/monthly trainings making each event better and better. As someone that's now been to multiple events performed by OntheMarc, I am always beyond impressed by the food quality, abundance, and hospitality be each member of his Team. The appetizers are always my favorite, especially the Mini Maine Lobster Rolls, I'm always full before dinner is served. We hired On the Marc for our wedding - sort of by default since they were the exclusive caterer for our venue. We are SO glad that we were able to work with OTM. From start to finish, they were consummate professionals: quick to respond, always accurate in their statements, quick to adapt to changing situations, accommodating and extremely helpful in sharing their event planning expertise. On the day of the wedding, everything went off without a hitch. And, though in our experience people rarely compliment the food at a wedding, we got SO many compliments on every part of the meal: the passed hors d'oeuvres, the meal itself, and the desserts as well. On the Marc was exactly that when this past weekend we had a scheduled party for 30 to be outside on the patio at home and it rained. Captain Jeff was so cool, calm and organized the team to move everything inside with total professionalism. Some of the highlights of the Hors D'oeuvres were: jicama wraps, Crispy Rice and Tuna, and lobster rolls. Dinner we chose skirt steak and branzino The quinoa salad was a huge hit. Cake pops for dessert also a big hit though all of the desserts were wonderful.I would not hesitate to use On the Marc for any event...yo can't go wrong! read more

OnTheMarc provided absolutely perfect food for our wedding. Throughout the entire process, they provided exceptional service. I am both gluten free and vegetarian and we had a number of other guests with serious food allergies. They helped us arrange a menu that was 80% gluten free and our guests had no idea. We were getting comments during the wedding and calls and texts afterwards about how unbelievable the food was. Including one guest who said the chicken was "the best chicken I've ever had in my life". They helped make an entirely gluten free assortment of desserts that tasted exactly like the originals. They let us make substitutions and changes to the menu to make it just what we were looking for. The food was an incredible representation of the foods we know and love and was both delicious and personal. One of the desserts was a passionfruit, mint square and everyone was raving. I think it may have been my all time favorite dessert! I also cannot say enough about the service. From the first tasting, they were unbelievably professional and talented. My mom and I love to cook and so they were giving us tips and tricks at the tasting. I felt like we were back stage at a cooking network show! The day of the wedding everyone was so kind and professional. The servers made sure we got to taste everything by leaving samples of the passed desserts on our sweetheart table. They were all sweet, kind and professional. We had a guest with several allergies who we had forgotten to tell them about and they helped make day-of accommodations for her as well.
