From start to finish, Onslow Stoneworks is top notch! Great quality of materials, knowledgeable staff, and outstanding customer service.

The Women sales People were really patient with me searching for the right granite. Prep work and install were carried out quickly and efficiently. It was a pleasure from Day 1 to finish. I felt pricing was reasonable. read more

Ordered my countertops from this company and everything went very well. The staff was very helpful

Priced fine for the market, but the final layout was challenging. Communication was poor and folks were condescending. On install day, the installer made a mess and broke items, dented walls, etc. I called the office to see how to handle it and then they called the installer while he was putting it in creating an extremely awkward situation. Very unprofessional operation. Do not recommend. read more

They did a wonderful job with my countertop installation! The entire process was easy, the template technician was knowledgeable and the installation team was very professional. My tops look even more beautiful than I ever imagined. read more

Three years after building our home, the countertops and stonework done by Onslow Stoneworks is the centerpiece of our home! Not knowing much about the products, I was advised of merits of each item. I was able to meet with a fabulous in-house specialist who helped me narrow my choices. Looking back, three years later I am STILL thrilled with all "my choices" and the results. I also had a fireplace wall designed by Onslow Stoneworks and it too is perfect for my home! I thank them for their work and would highly recommend them to those looking for a beautiful job! read more

Worked with Catherine at the Swansboro location. Arrived for install and they were missing part of our stone (the strip that goes behind the oven). I should have known this was setting up for disaster. During the template process, I requested that the main imperfection on the stone be anywhere but the island (literally anywhere else). I guess that was too inconvenient (bc I did not pay for the design upgrade) and the imperfection was cut to be the focal point of the island. The seam in no way was planned and is one of the most obvious seams I've ever seen on a counter. I know this will not be perfectly matched, but if they had listened to my request, the colors would have aligned more. Lastly, they removed my sink, informed me to have the new sink faucet on hand and proceeded to leave the sink with open plumbing. I was not informed that I would need a plumber to come and finish the job. To a contractor, I'm sure this is common sense, but to a homeowner having an install before a holiday weekend, it was a headache that could have been easily avoided. They also did not remove the protective netting prior to install. To ease my struggles, she offered me some granite cleaner. A wonderful solution. I would go with another company. read more

Visited the Swanboro NC location and spoke with Catherine. We picked out the pieces we liked for a bathroom remodel. She stated she would work up a quote and have it to us by the end of the day. This was a week ago. Guess I'm not getting a quote. read more

First to Review Onslow Stoneworks has 3 locations. We dealt with two of them. Moved to a new area where we had an entire house to do from the studs out. When we got to the point where I needed my kitchen and master bathroom countertops, I did my research. We decided on Onslow Stoneworks and at the beginning things seemed good. We chose our stone and went through the necessary process. We made arrangements for them to come out and measure for the countertops. Two people arrived to measure. It did not take them long. My husband even commented on it as they left. The day of our installation came. They did one side of the kitchen without issue. They went to install the opposite side which required 3 different pieces. Two of the three pieces did not fit. They were cut incorrectly. Flashback to the fast measuring timeline. We made arrangement for new pieces to be cut and installed. They came back a second time. There had been no re-measure done. Again they were cut incorrectly. We made arrangements for the THIRD attempt at installation. This time they got them to fit (by hacking up my cabinets but it's not visible). Immediately after they left I looked over my beautiful? countertops, which I had been waiting for. Now the problem is that there is a large area, in a prominent place, which is quite different. There is a pattern departure, or lack of pattern, that is obvious. It can't be ignored. I recognize that the stone is natural and there are variations in it. I called them immediately within 1/2 hour of them leaving. I told them I was unhappy and why. I was told I would be put on the 'repair order' list and someone would get back to me. It took 5 phone calls and almost a month to get them out again. Meanwhile, it occurred to me that a simple change of placement of the template would have made all of the difference. Then the unacceptable area would have been in a much less noticeable or prominent place and would, most likely, met with approval. After that 4th visit they were going to call me the next day. There is a new problem. All of the stone we had chosen for our ENTIRE job ( including my master bathroom) has been used up because of their mistakes and they had no more of that particular dye lot. We never heard from them again. We left a total of about 20 messages. Nothing. I sent 2 letters directed to the owner. I posted on the website. I got one public response saying to "contact them to fix the problem". I had been contacting them multiple times with no reply. Throughout, I never yelled, swore or made derogatory remarks. The workmanship was poor. 4 visits and it still wasn't done correctly. The customer service was horrible. 20 phone calls and no response. No response to letters or postings on the website. The job left incomplete. You be the judge. Do you want them doing your work? read more

Customer service is top notch! They also have an amazing selection of granite and quartz. Staff is very knowledgeable and know so much about the stones, how they are created and where they come from. We had our countertop installed in our brand new home yesterday and we are extremely disappointed and angry about the job. When the guy came out to do the measurements for the counter top, he insured us that the fabricator would email us the template of the layout for us to sign off on before they made any cuts. We never received that or signed off on anything and they showed up yesterday to install! We were unaware that a seam had to be placed and the 2 pieces that were seamed together are a totally different color. No attempt to try to match at all. There were darker areas of the slab that could have been used for a better match. Also cut the big area wrong and they had to cut into the wall for one area and use caulking to fill in against the wall where it was cut short. We would never recommend this company to anyone. Wish I could figure out a way to post picture read more

In spring of 2021 I purchased shower floor tile recommended by an employee at Onslow Stone and Tile. aThis purchase was for my beach condo at PIne Knoll Shores. When my bathroom floor was installed, the floor changed from a white stone to a yellow. This looked horrible in my bathroom since the wall tile in the bathroom is white (recommended by Onslow Stone and Tile). I discussed this change in color with employees at the store and was told nothing could be done to help me with replacement cost. So, I ate this cost! I had the company install a countertop in my master bath at my condo at PKS. I asked the installers to be careful with the installation and that did not happen. On either end of the countertop, the wall was gauged out and I had to repair walls and pay for new wallpaper and additional installation costs. I have been in touch with Amanda through phone calls and stopping by the store, and she has not gotten back to me since my last visit several months ago to the store. I cannot recommend Onslow Stone and Tile. It seems my only way to get the attention of the company is "Small Claims Court." Sandra Smith Raleigh,NC read more

T. Smith Hubert, NC I have had work done by Onslow Stoneworks twice. They have been great both times. During the most recent job I had them build a surround for my new shower enclosure. They gave me an estimate, that did not change, completed the work in a timely manner and were very professional. Hurricane Florence damages half my home. It has been a very emotional time and an absolute nightmare to find good professional to complete the extensive work to rebuild your home. I lost my husband shortly before the hurricane. To face the challenge of navigating the jungle to find honest businesses that have integrity is difficult at best and as a widow even more of a challenge. The one bright light has been the wonderful employees at Onslow Stoneworks. Thank you for your patience and bringing back my faith that there are great business out there that really want satisfied customers read more

Ordered a new Carrera marble bathroom countertop back in spring 2016. Top was installed and all seemed well. The top was supposed to be sealed, of course it's in a bathroom. Soon after installation the stone was getting dark spots. Called and representative came to give a look. Staining was from normal hand soap. Representative said this is unusual and has never happened. "We will look into this matter". It's now Late November and they will not address the issue and will not return calls. Bad news company, too busy expanding offices to take care of a customer. Avoid this company. They take the money and run. read more

Placed an order in March for a table top, paid in full, and told to expect 5-6 weeks. Inquired early in May as to status, received an email that said it's not ready, we will call you when it is. Waited a few weeks, sent another email, no response at all. Started calling almost every day two weeks ago; roughly 7 phone calls resulted in no return call. Told them yesterday I wanted to cancel, and was told it would be ready today. Called to inquire today and was told middle of next week. Checked my email, it said two weeks. RUN, RUN, RUN from this company read more

Company seemed fairly knowledgable until day of install. Installers came and did a sloppy job which they did come back and attempt to fix. Plumbing was not included which was left out of conversations but hidden in the customer expectation sheet. When I voiced my concerns the owner was argumentative and rude. Would not recommend or use again for another project. Pricing was more expensive than neighboring companies read more

Not a good experience with the tile. We ordered 4 new counter tops and a kitchen tile backsplash. We were given a time line (that was not met), the counter top install went very well. The Tile backsplash has been an awful experience. They installed our tile in one day - so it did not have time to set, it was uneven, "warped" looking. They insisted we pay then they would fix it "as per the contract we signed we were required to pay no matter what the day they did the install". We live out of town and trusted they would do a good job. After paying they never asked how the job was, anything -just took our money. We had to drive down and complain, to be told on a Saturday that our wall would be torn out and re-done by the following Wednesday. It's been three weeks, we drove down again to get what we needed for them and finished the install ourselves. It took them 3 weeks to get us (after complaining in person again) what we needed to finish the job. Once again we were told they would be out on Monday to finish - it's been another week and I have hired someone to go in and repair the drywall they tore and re-paint. We will never use nor recommend this company again. read more

I wish I had read the reviews on this site before we did business with Onslow. We had multiple problems with them, one of which ended in the owner cursing at us and launching the F-bomb. They installed the shower curb in the wrong position (off by 1/2-inch but a big difference visually). Our tile contractor said it would take at least a day for him to fix it and we would run the risk of breaking the granite. We called Onslow to give them the opportunity to stand behind their work and fix their mistake -- they declined. We have another bathroom to renovate but we will never use Onslow again! read more

Horrible experience!! Company quoted me a price on a particular piece of granite, but after the template was made, they increased the price by $250.00. I cancelled the order. In the meantime, I had previously had sinks shipped directly to them from Home Depot, which they refused to return. I took them to Small Claims Court, but had the name incorrect on the petition. I have since moved out of state or I would have pursued these people until hell freezes over. They actually stole my property. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !! read more

This place does an absolutely beautiful job with granite countertops, and please ask for Matthew when you go. He is beyond helpful, and Jack the installer is excellent. I had granite countertops in my kitchen and bathrooms installed and they are stunning. Great price too! Do yourself a favor though....FIND YOUR OWN PLUMBER! Trigleth Plumbing is an absolute ripoff, they will charge you astronomical amounts of money for such little work. Not only did they show up 2 hours late without a phone call, they only stayed 45 minutes, said they needed brushed nickel drains, disappeared for 3 hours (found out later they went to eat and went to 2 different places looking for drains at Lowes and another place that were 5-10 minutes from my house...that takes 3 hours?!) and finished in 30 minutes. So roughly an hour and a half worth of work and my bill was $625! Absolutely ridiculous. The work was complete, no problems, just price and professionalism not there whatsoever. read more

I'm not much of a joiner or complainer but had to express my opinion of Onslow Stoneworks and hopefully others will avoid problems dealing with them.
