It's located on Main Street right across from the UFO museum and a cold drink was an attractive temptation on a hot day. Luana is a gem and knows a lot of local history. The coolest thing we found here was an original ink drawing of the Eddie Macias mural at invasion station. Luana was selling it at cost and went through the extra trouble or shipping into me, much appreciated! Very happy I could have such a unique souvenir of our Roswell trip. They have rare sodas and a bottle opener right at the front. They also have a lot of odd and unique candy including a wall of cotton candy cryptid "poop" on the left. The kids loved the bad of yeti poop I grabbed for them. They have posters and postcards up front with lore Eddie Macias art. I love local flavors like this and ended up with a full set of postcards, my favorite is the alien Aztec postcard!

I love it because they have a huge selection of candies from when I was a kid that cannot be found anywhere else. Candy cigarettes, astropops, what looks like jelly bellies in all colors (for themed parties), and a ton of others! Every where I turned, I automatically smiled because sweet memories came out of everywhere. They also have more popcorn flavors than I thought possible, fun drinks, a mexican candy section, and a bunch of salt water taffy flavors I have never tried before- the pickle was fun, and pretty good actually! They also have a refrigerated section that I did not even get to yet, but it wont be long until I know all about it! This is fun store with a bunch of flavors that are from now and years past which makes it perfect for families, parties, and friends. Im pretty sure I saw a facebook message after I went that said they have gummy pineapple rings. If ever you get the chance to try those, trust me, dont get very many. You WILL eat them ALL! The owner is super kind and helpful, so if you go, ask him about the pineapple rings. Then buy them all, cancel your plans for the weekend, and enjoy!

The biggest problem was the lady working there today 3/17/22 early afternoon. My 11 year old son asked her if they had any fudge and she said that they did but it had walnuts. He was thinking about whether he wanted some or not since it had nuts. She rudely said "you either want some or you don't. It's a simple question." Thankfully I just told my family we were leaving and we walked out. I know if I had said something I would have used some choice words I wouldn't want to say in front of my kids. I realize it's hard to find good help but this witch has no business working anywhere she has to deal with customers.

Grizzly Bear's Fudge Factory is yet another gem in Carlsbad, New Mexico…read more I rushed my daughters in here from a dust storm on 4.18.2025. I thought a lemonade or limeade would help keep our minds off of powerful wind gusts and blinding sand on the way back home about 70 miles away. My only regret was not picking up some fudge. My girls wanted a salty snack in some cheese popcorn. I guess I was stressed about the drive... rightly so. This is the same storm that literally ripped pieces of my roof off. *sigh* Three drinks and a bag of popcorn was about $21. For a limeade, my youngest daughter and I recommend the Carlsbad Sunrise (peach, pina colada, & watermelon). For a lemonade, my oldest daughter and I recommend the Summer Days (red raspberry, peach, & watermelon). There will be pulp. And seeds. And fresh fruit thrown in your drink. Made fresh in the store! Amazing service. Clean and tidy inside. Drive-thru available!

Dulceria Cosmos is a brand new Mexican candy store in Hobbs, New Mexico…read more Their grand opening was February 1, 2024. Their daily hours are from 10:30AM-8PM. When my daughter and I walked in on the afternoon of 2/10/2024, we were not welcomed. None of the 3 employees smiled at us. No music was playing. We were never asked if we needed help. Then two groups walked in after us and were quickly greeted and music was turned on. It really ticked me off. Then my daughter started picking out candy and showing me. One employee followed us and watched us like a hawk. It was very uncomfortable. I told my daughter to put the candy back because I didn't feel welcome there & we walked out. The candies were mostly of the Mexican variety and in bulk packaging. Most likely unbeknownst to them, I grew up eating much of the items they sold, but I have no problem walking out when I am not welcome. There weren't many supplies except some party favors, piñatas, and balloons. This is a brand new store so it was very clean with ample parking in a plaza lot. According to their Facebook page, a snack bar con elote en vaso, fresas con crema, y elote entero is "coming soon." Hope you receive better service than we did.
