The downside of that is your annual exam is maybe 10 minutes and other visits, you see Dr. Hardwick-Smith for less than 5 minutes. The first time you visit Dr. Hardwick-Smith, she sits you down in her office and you talk. She's personable and is observant. She takes notes in your patient file so she can engage in conversation during the few minutes you have with her. If you don't get to see her, she's staffed her office with a few other doctors. It's like she has them admit headshots with their resume because the entire staff is gorgeous. Decor is nice and personal. There's portraits of children/families all over the office. Be prepared to pay for parking in the attached garage. UNLESS... you want to park over at Hermann Park and take a nice 1 mile walk to the office.

It didn't matter if I was 15 minutes early or three minutes late, I always had to wait at least 30 minutes to be called back, and at least 20 more before being taken into an exam room. Even then, I'd have to wait another 20 before the doctor actually showed up. That's ridiculous, and nobody has that kind of time to spare. We all have stuff to do! My last visit, the entire appointment took a little over three hours from the time I got there and signed in until I walked out of the front doors. And this was for a follow up exam and a flu shot, nothing that might actually take a lot of time. And they don't care! I peeked out of my exam room to ask how much longer it would be, and Dr. Manning was just writing away on whatever, told me "I'll be with you shortly, " and that was it. No apology for having to wait 90 minutes to be seen. If I were really late to an appointment, I wouldn't have an appointment, but doctors apparently get to do what they want. Needless to say, I found another doctor. I don't have 2-3 hours to spare every time I need to visit my doctor. I've been to emergency rooms that got me in and out in three hours, and an urgent care emergency room that had me out in an hour! Not a good reflection on a doctor's office. They need to strive to do better.

I usually let my teen go to the back for dental cleaning by herself but after this issue, that will no longer be happening. Unsure of the tech's name who did the cleaning. The dentist was thorough in explaining the plan of care which is why there is a 3 star rating vs 1 star. The front staff was pleasant and the wait time was minimal.
