I completely understand if a company decides they can't accommodate a request, but losing communication with a potential customer after having them complete paperwork felt unprofessional. A simple "we're unable to move forward" would have been appreciated. Their pricing was also on the higher end compared to other companies I contacted. Once I disclosed that another company had already cleaned the room, I was told they do not like taking jobs previously cleaned by other companies and that I should ask the original cleaners to come back instead. The response honestly felt dismissive, and almost as if they no longer wanted the job because I had not chosen their company first. What confused me most is that the room still clearly needed cleaning regardless. It also left me wondering whether they would have accepted the job normally if I had simply never mentioned that another cleaner had already been there.
