First let me say, these people are dishonest. I personally beg you, based on past experience to not take out one cent from them. They will tell you your loan is for 3 year or 5 years and you will be paying for the next projected 6-7 years. I got my loan in 2019 and by 2021 I had made significant extra payments. I asked for a payoff amount and found I was still paying interest. I went to a local credit union and told them about my payments, they told me my loan interest should be illegal. And they are right, my interest was 29%. I took out a loan elsewhere to pay it off, I requested the payoff amount and told them I will be mailing the check. They asked if I knew the amount, i told them the amount I had been told. I received a call the following week being told I owe more money due to interest. They will avoid information to receive more money. Before taking out my loan I had great credit 700+. You'll be better off getting a credit card. Don't do it. Never again will I do business with onemain branch on Quakerbridge road in Hamilton NJ. The problem is Kim Stubble, the manager who doesn't have basic customer service skills and also thinks its appropriate to demand to speak to me even though my husband is listed on the loan and was completely rude to my husband and then HUNG UP on my husband. I called the branch to remove my husband phone number and Kim then HUNG UP on me also. I had to call the corporate phone number to file a complaint and request no further contact from Hamilton branch due to Kim's unprofessionalism. Your customer's don't stop being your customers after the loan is finalized. Do better. Cease and desist is on the way to further enforce no further contact from the Hamilton Branch. This is no way a reflection of onemain financial as a whole. I had a pleasant experience whenever speaking to the corporate office or to Joyce who is with the Hamilton branch. Kim on the other hand will make onemain lose business and because of my experience with her, I will no longer refer family and friends until I know she is no longer associated with onemain. No way would I put anyone in the path of dealing with someone so unprofessional. Had a loan through One Main in North Brunswick NJ for over 2 years. Used my title on my used car as collateral. Paid every payment on time. Was told by several employees from One Main over the past 2 years that because of my good payment status, I would eventually be able to get back my car title, after making all my payment on time. My car has since had several mechanical problems that I could not afford to fix, and I had a buyer that was willing to take it off my hands. After calling One Main, I spoke to a girl named EMILY. I explained this all to her. She told me "no problem" that I could get my car title back but first she had to do a "credit check" so she can make my loan a unsecured loan. I agreed to this and took a "hard credit" hit for this inquiry, which impacts your credit score. So ok now I assume I'm getting my title back. OH NO.... there's more to this story. Now EMILY asks me how much money I want to take. Like what????? I tell her I don't want money I just want my title back. After going on and on and her putting me on hold to "check with her boss" she tells me she CAN'T give me my title back unless I take out additional money, and add it to my existing loan and extend it for another YEAR!!! Are you kidding me???? Talk about getting screwed!!? She totally lied and misrepresented her intentions just to get me to take out more money, and extend my loan for 1 more year. When this all finally HIT me as to what she did to me, I was furious!! What a money hungry piece of garbage this establishment is!! How dare they dupe me like this!! In the end, I have no title and a car that I can't get rid of because I have no title!!! Thanks a lot "ONE MAIN" FOR A TOTAL SCREWING OVER!!
