This place was a little sketchy. They advertise a pre-qualification of a high amount secured based off your information on credit karma, but when you apply the terms and amount are completely different. She was asking me questions on debt that I had already worked with a credit attorney at removing from my credit report months ago and some items that were due to fall off in the next couple months. I couldn't even see those debts anymore through the three major credit companies after I pulled my own report to double check. My score has gone up considerably from fair to good and she didn't seem to show that. We ended up going with another company who had updated information and offered 3 times the amount unsecured. Really the only plus about this company could be they report to the three credit companies to help you build your credit. I guess you can only hope they report correctly for you. I wouldn't recommend them if you are seriously trying to rebuild. read more

This company is a total scam, how youre gonna charge people so much for late fees and returned checks , you think they're going to have the money by charging them that much ? or you're getting them broker and miserable. I walked in there yesterday morning & got a very mediocre greeting at best. The first question the lady at the front desk asked me is "do you have an appointment?" I said "no I didn't know I needed one". Apparently they did me a favor by allowing me to even talk to someone. I asked her "which credit bureau's do you use to do an inquiry because my 3 are all locked". She tells me I would have to unlock all 3 of them. I was not willing to do that. I have not having multiple inquiries hit my credit. As we all know that lowers your score. She could not even tell me which of the 3 bureau's they use. I was not willing to do that so I left. One bureau I can understand but not all 3. I thought went there prepared but apparently not. The brief experience for me was not good. Needless to say I would never go back there again. There are other, better options than them. Would I recommend them? No I would not. It was a complete waste of my time & energy to go there. They should call themselves One Star Financial. I've been paying this loan for years and my balance just keeps going up! There's no way out of this loan on top of that my car broke down which is collateral for the loan and they won't take it off so I could get a new vehicle...big mistake...big!!! If I could post this with no stars I would. First and foremost you only want to get a loan through these people when you have no other options and you know you're going to be able to pay off the principal balance quickly. These loans work best when u are in between waiting for funds & u gotta treat them as short term loans. Otherwise you'll be stuck paying them for a long time without making a dent. Secondly, their customer service representatives have absolutely no phone etiquette. They will harass you within 24 hours of you passing the grace period. Will leave you less than professional voicemails demanding to call them back & then when you do , their reps do NOT let you speak when you're talking to them over the phone. They interrupt, grunt, & rush you. Even when your not delinquent. They're reps are not at all trained on the fair credit act and on proper phone etiquette. It's embarrassing. Lack of communication from my loan specialist who never called me back when I called and left a message with one of her colleagues. The one time I did get her on the phone, she set up an appointment, and then didn't even keep that. Horrible experience. I cannot recommend them. read more

I fell for the scam too! I even brought in a co-signer but all they care about is a vehicle to make it a secured loan. Hyundai gave 0% financing but that is not good enough for OneMain, still not approved. Avoid this company like the plague as all it will hurt is your credit score. read more

This company is a joke! Now I see why there's so many bad reviews for them on Credit Karma! I should have stuck with Lending Club for my loan needs. With Lending Club I applied around 8 in the morning on a Monday, got the approval within 30 minutes, and by 3 p.m. they were telling me that my loan was being funded. Within two business days from there, the money was already in my bank for me to do as I please with it. Now, with OneMain Financial, I applied over the weekend and uploaded all the documents that they asked for. Monday morning, I get a call about my application from a lady named Charity Morris whom apparently doesn't know what she's doing because she asked to call me back in 30 minutes because she needed to verify income that she should have done before she even called me! Then when she finally called me back she went over options I was ALREADY quoted via email approval. Now, apparently their approval isn't really an approval because HOURS later I called inquiring about the next steps as I was left in the dark. I was then advised they needed to get "underwriting" approval. Now two business days later I CALL them again checking the status and she tells me all is done and to come in at 3pm to sign loan docs. Never was I advised to bring anything else so all I bring is my ID. When I get there she's asking for a bank statement and pay stubs. Now confused, I ask how can you quote me a loan amount if you didn't verify my income based on my paycheck stubs?! And what were you doing the past two days that you said you were verifying my income?! Now frustrated, I pull up my bank statement I've never had to actually look at EVER. I email it over and the dumb broad tells me she needs the FULL account number because it only shows the last 3 digits. I pull up what I've sent her and explain to her that what she's looking at VISUALLY states MEMBER NUMBER not ACCOUNT NUMBER. And if she was smart, she would see that not only is my checking account number listed but my 9 other savings account numbers are listed RIGHT BELOW IT!! How can you miss 10 WHOLE ACCOUNT NUMBERS. And this is who you let process peoples loan docs. I mean, let's be real here... I know she has to see a bunch of bank statements on the daily and we're not talking about some out of state non-known bank. We're talking Capital One Bank. She never apologies for her error, she only continues to be slow and dumb. Second company problem I have is that they direct pay your creditors. OK, fine. My goal was to consolidate my credit card bills anyway but what if I wanted to pay my PayPal credit account or Military Service Credit which don't report to creditors?! So here we are going over my credit balances I want her to print the checks out for and I'm reading it off directly from an Excel sheet. Her total balance is off so I re-read the numbers 3 more times and she's still off. As I'm over the top pissed now, I just tell her to print whatever and I'll pay the difference on my end. So when I get home I clearly see her financial mistake even after me repeating my totals to her multiple times. If they're this bad PROCESSING my loan, I can only imagine the drama I'm in for during repayment. I would NEVER give these people access to a title loan. I could only imagine how that would pan out. It's easier for me to change my checking account number if I need to then for them to have ownership over my car! So I'll definitely be using my next quarterly bonus to pay this off! read more

I really wish I could put negative stars .. they would get negative ten stars for sure .... Worse place to get a loan ever ..!!! BEWARE..!!! Stay away!!!! First of all they do not know how to return phone calls I should have never had the patients I had this day with them .. well I should say several days!!! What a joke ... this loan I started on a Wednesday thinking for sure by Friday I would have it nope not even Saturday they kept me hanging until Monday morning after I signed the deal and final paperwork on the Friday I had everything I needed then the girl wanted my bank account for direct deposit so she could set up auto pay which was never discussed the entire week so I had to go get info and bring back which didn't matter because the girl left in the middle of my loan to go pick up her sister to give her a ride ... ok so I got there Friday at 2pm it's now 6pm Friday Evening everything signed dated approved with my title to my car and everything ready to go and she says I still need a third approval not to worry come back tomorrow to pick up your check.... Started to feel very uncomfortable and feeling like I am now being tricked ... oh the best part she wanted me to leave my title to my car with her without getting my money hahah no way Sophie good try ... I'm not a stupid girl doesn't work that way no thanks I will hold my title ... this girl Sophie played games with me until Monday morning when she gave me a final answer of NOOOOOO... oh and she did NOT even give me the news she had a co-worker tell me this sayin she had a sudden family problem.... I don't believe this she knew I was in a bind I had broken my iPhone and needed to get a new one which we all know that's 1000 bucks right there but that was the reason I was in need of the loan to replace my phone ... yes people broken phone from Wednesday until Monday we all know our entire lives are in our phones .. I could not log into so many things I needed because it needs to be from the same device .... I was completely upset and embarrassed... they now have ruined my credit I was at a 720 and have also put on my credit that they could not verify my address which kept me from opening a new bank account that week as well ... literally in a time of need I trusted them the entire week and they now have ruined my credit over the weekend .... Thanks for the mess ...... so now Monday morning I get my answer of NO with no explanation no Sophie no cell phone lol so I did what I should have done in the first place went to tittle max I got exactly the amount of money I requested I was there for 20 min with a check in my hand immediately no hassle no BS no games straight forward right to the point ... and by the way if they had any integrity they would have told me it was a title loan to begin with I would have been loyal to tittle max from the beginning.... this place is absolutely ridiculous. if you can get a loan elsewhere, please do. i started my loan application through credit karma and recieved a pre-approval and was promoted to upload supporting documents. while attempting to upload my documents the link expired and then promoted me to log in to finish. well you can't log in without a password and an account number which i do not have and so i called in for help. someone told me "that's for after your loan is approved, you'll just follow the link that was emailed to directly upload your documents" i again tried to explain that i can't log in without a password or account number which is exactly what the link prompts me to do. then they told me to call a number to get a password reset or email the branch email directly with my documents. i emailed the branch directly with my ID, bank statements, and proof of income only to recieve a email today that they are trying to reach em to discuss the application. cool. i call in and the lady tells me "we are still waiting for your documents so we want to know if you wanted to love forward or not" i again explained that i've called numbers time due not being able to log in and another employee TOLD ME to email my documents over. she responds with " we normally don't accept documents via emails so you can call in to get your password reset" i quickly just told her to forget it and close the application. why do i have to run around trying to get a password reset when i don't have a password to begin with? why isn't your site allowing people to create an account or password without an account number if that's only for people who already have been approved? overall this place is a mess and no one is on the same page. please go somewhere else. read more
