We are a local young family and following a weekend walk we thought that 'One World Cafe' would be a regular coffee stop for the Summer. It looks idylic, great location, good presentation and supporters of fair trade. However, customer service is very poor. During a quiet period there was a mix up with our order and as a result we missed out on the breakfast special due to time elapsing between the order being placed and the incorrect order being delivered to our table. I politely complained to the owner at the time only to be told that the mistake was my fault! and that it was too late to change the order. I would now have to pay full price for the same order. I went without out of principal. My overriding feeling when I left was not great food or lovely location but one of anger towards the owner for blaming me for the mistake and huge disappointment. We will never visit One World Cafe again. I write this review some weeks later as my wife, umprompted, discovered that a friend also had a bad experienced and another confrontation with the manager! her feeling was 'not family friendly'. My advice, looks great but service is very poor. read more
