Gary had no issues adding oil and recharging air conditioning system even though specifications for amounts and size were not available. Reset front alignment toe-in easily and commented about extra slop in rack n pinion steering (which I will fix later). their alignment machine automatically checks all settings of alignment, so I was able to confirm the settings that I personally made. Very interesting and informative for a car guy. In another session, worked on my old 2006 Lincoln LS air conditioning. Was not blowing cold air. Gary knew that It was an old car that I drive by myself infrequently and did not want to spend excess money on. He reversed the pressure relief valve in the variable output compressor for full time full output for good enough performance. Cost $125 rather replace compressor and condensor for $750. Just what I needed. Very knowledgeable mechanics.

We got it into Dan Pfeiffer and they replaced the battery free of charge and quickly. This was great service. A couple of days after that and within a week of purchase we discovered some of the window controls do not work. This time when we called Dan Pfeiffer, we were told to "go get it looked at someplace else". We understand that it's "buyer beware" when purchasing a used car but these issues that came up 7 days post-purchase should have been caught in the dealer's inspection. It was sold to us as having everything checked out. I am rating them a 2 because the initial service was good but we are definitely displeased that the window controls don't work on a $20k 2016 used car.

This year, I had a nasty scratch on my truck from a mailbox that appeared to jump out behind my truck. The scratch was done professionally with no blemishes. Now for an even more recent misfortune, my wife's SUV engine broke down with a major failure with an internal valve. I was given two options, replace the valve for a lot of money, or spend a little more to replace the engine. This is the worst case scenario when it comes to vehicles and I was experiencing it. So, I decided an engine replacement was the best solution rather than buying a whole new car. I was very impressed with the quality of work done. The engine is so smooth and has not been giving us any issues. And its backed by a warranty. A little piece of mind for the next 3 years! Thank you Pfeifer. If I had to give feedback for improvement is the communication back to the customer regarding any repair time. The vehicle was there for an extensive period of time, but worth the wait to make sure the job was done right.

The guy who answered the phone, Rick, was super friendly and very polite. He told me I could have my car towed that day and they'd try to take a look at it, but it was a Friday so he wasn't sure if they'd get to it. Totally fine. He gave me the number of a tow company that they work with that picked up my car. I didn't hear anything by the end of the day Friday, so I figured they weren't able to get to it. On Monday I got a call from Rick who gave me the bad news... pretty expensive repair but I had already figured that out from Googling. He said he'd order the parts and hopefully get them yet that day. I didn't hear anything back by the end of the day, so I figured they weren't able to get to it. Ha! Then I got a call on Tuesday afternoon saying my car was ready. Luckily my boyfriend and I work together so I wasn't needing a car while it was being worked on. Rick was again super friendly and polite when I picked up my car and everything is running smoothly again. He even followed up with me a couple days later via text to see if everything was still going okay. The lack of communication I experienced the first couple of days might stress some people out, but I wasn't too worried. I will be going to Mason Street Garage for all maintenance from now on. It's really nice to support a local business that cares about their customers and provides friendly service during what can be stressful situations.
