Gotta love a bit of One Stop, local shop fulfilling local needs, managing to take a few extra pennies when you've forgotten to buy something from the local supermarket, that's your One Stop. I remember it when it used to be called Dillons, so still call it Dillons, and to everyone else I know in the local area, it will always be Dillons, but it has it's plus points; it's just over the road from the pub, so when you run outta smokes, you can nip over the road to One Stop and buy 20 smokes in a deck without paying an extra quid and only getting 16. There's a trusty cash machine should you find yourself caught short in the money department. It is open pretty much every day, it was open Easter Sunday, it was open Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, I swear i've never known a day where it's shut. There's bits of everything, from sweets and chocolate, magazines and newspapers, alcohol and tobacco, bread and milk and cheese and other refrigerated items, bits of stationary, it really is a One Stop, and a life saver, well not life saver, but a situation made more convenient-er. read more
