William Reynolds Agency

I am a young aspiring actor who has been looking for talent agencies for a few months now. And,…read moreback in April, I got a response from an actual talent agency...or so I thought. Anyway, so I walked in there, well-dressed and well-groomed, thinking I was about to get a real audition for a real talent agency. The first thing I noticed was that it didn't seem to be a conventional place for an acting audition. Instead of being a large room, it was an office. I sat in the waiting room for a few minutes, and the first thing Bill Reynolds did was make me read a binder of information...out loud. When we got into his office, it was clear that the place was unprofessional and messy, with photos of his "talent" scattered across the desk. Throughout the "audition", Bill told me untrue stories for about two hours. He claimed that he knew Tyler Perry, Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Burt Reynolds, Robert De Niro, Halle (which he pronounced "Holly") Berry and tons of other A-listers both living and dead. He told me how his agency was prestigious and well-known, and how he's gotten tons of talented people to work through his agency. Then he completely jumped the shark. He told me that I needed to pay over 300 dollars to get photos from a special facility or else I'd never make it. That's when my mother and I knew that the whole thing was a sham. Also, throughout the interview, he cussed a bunch and used terms like "oriental" and "retard". Long story short, avoid this guy at all costs!!!

This place is a sham. Bill Reynolds will tell you untrue stories for 2 hours, then put the hard…read moresell on to get you to buy pictures through them for $300. He was never on General Hospital, and they aren't a SAG approved agency. Any 5 star reviews for them on google and such are fishy, as they are worded similarly, and seem to be written by the same person. Avoid this place.

Lights! Camera! No Action! Ladies and gentleman if you are reading this review you are obviously…read moredoing your research because you have been contacted by or heard about this company. You are looking for a break in the industry and this only seems like a legit way of doing things. Here we go. This review is based solely on my opinion and my life experiences as a entrepreneur. I was called to this group for what I believed was background work for a movie set or tv show. I always thought it would be fun to be a part of this exciting industry. I submitted my pictures, along with my contact information, and within a day I was on my way to be in the industry. Or so I thought. Arrived promptly at 12:50pm for my 1:00pm appointment. Me, along with 50 other dreamers, were checked in and escorted to a room. This is where a "director of the southeast offices" gave a dazzling speech about the thousands of people he submits to casting all over the world. He had photos of 3-4 people that have "made it" whom I have never heard of. That doesn't mean it isn't so, but I digress. Next you're called to go to another room for photos by someone with a Canon camera. A couple of snap shots and your back to the waiting room. Lastly, "the interview"!!!!! Now they want to know how serious you are about acting, modeling or singing. I'm sure most people would say 11 on a scale from 1-10. These are the folks they are banking on that are going to shell out $500 and $40/mo to be in their system. If you say anything under 6, which I did, they know you're not a target and get you out as soon as possible. Now folks, I have been a seasoned entrepreneur for over 15 years. I have seen a lot of business models and I appreciate a good hustle. HOWEVER, I have a passion for warning people about getting involved with any company that preys on your dreams. Here are a few facts to consider. 1. Your network is your net worth! Do background jobs that don't cost you money and network when you are there. You never know who you're going to meet. Just like this company says in their speech "your personality gets you the gig" 2. You should never have to pay someone to get you a job unless they are your agent. Why would you pay money to make less than what you are paying to be a "member". Anyone can get headshots and compcards these days. This is 2019 folks. 3. Do your homework. Please! Don't get caught up in what you believe is not the real deal because your gut is right. Now you're probably asking yourself why I gave this place two stars instead of one if you have read this far. That's because I can't say for a fact that they haven't helped one out of the 1000's that pay the money. Is there a chance it may work out, yes. Is there a chance you can spend $2 and win the lottery, yes! I believe in supporting dreams but not supporting businesses that are looking to take advantage of your dreams. Side note: I was contacted for background work on the show "Greenleaf" by an actual casting company and it did not cost me a dime. It was a great experience! That's my $.02 and I hope this helped in your decision making process.

You'll receive emails to your own personal "account" After payment. Once you enter the password and username they give you, you're prompted to a page where you must accept term and services and I took the liberty of providing a screenshot of it stating that after you accept you are no longer able to receive a refund. And they encourage you to delete emails and information from your device. DO NOT ACCEPT TERMS AND CONDITIONS WITHOUT FIRST READING THEM. Especially if you're not so sure. From research no agency will ask for payment or fees up front.
