I had an unusual experience with Gutter Boys that showed me a great deal about their…read moreprofessionalism and integrity. I needed larger six-inch gutters and downspouts because heavy rain can overwhelm the existing system and cause flooding at my home. Gutter Boys came out, carefully walked the property with me, understood the drainage problems, and prepared a detailed quote covering the gutters, downspouts, heat cable, valley shield, and gutter guards. Their representative was knowledgeable and confident, and their recommendations gave me a lot of confidence in the company. Their complete quote was $4,520--about $400 less than the competing $4,922 quote I had received for substantially the same scope. Based on my conversations with them, I intended to hire Gutter Boys. Unfortunately, while rushing to complete the project before surgery and the next major storm, I mistakenly approved both companies' proposals. Another contractor completed the installation the day before Gutter Boys was scheduled to arrive. Gutter Boys had already reserved the day, arranged for their six-inch gutter machine, and sent a crew to my home before I realized my mistake. They had every reason to be frustrated, but they handled the situation graciously and professionally. I offered to compensate them $250 for the lost time and scheduling disruption. They accepted that amount and promptly refunded the remaining $625 of my deposit. I cannot review their finished installation because my mistake prevented them from doing the work. I can say that their evaluation was thorough, their quote was detailed and competitively priced, their communication was excellent, and their conduct after losing a full day of work was exceptionally fair. I would confidently call Gutter Boys first for future gutter work.

When the money came in early we asked if they could possibly come sooner. They were booked but said if they could work us in they would. A week sooner than scheduled they came out and installed gutters around the entire house. We're delighted with the high quality of the rain gutters and the outstanding job of installation. I wanted to update my review as it is now posted on BBB Utah. Here it is!…read more I wanted to inform people about S&S roofing, as I spent over 6K on overlay to my existing roof a little over 9 years ago. I decided to go with S&S roofing. We discussed putting a 2nd layer over top as they stated it will be just as good, and a few thousand dollars cheaper. I originally thought they did a great job, and they had a site manager inspect the roof when it was finished. He came down and informed me everything was good. Now I am a 100% disable veteran who has had back surgery from supporting the war in Iraq, so I cannot climb up on a roof anymore. Due to the harsh winter we are in I called up to S&S roofing two weeks ago to see if I could get someone to check my roof out as I was hearing noises I have not heard before. She spoke to me in all reality very snotty way. She said, "Well that was over 9 years ago and the warranty of the shingles are through the company who makes them, not us. If you wish for us to come, check your roof there will be a charge of $350." I said really, no thanks there is a couple of companies I will call who will check my roof for free, and hung up. I went on the BBB website and selected a couple of companies listed and gave them a call. They both came out and checked the roof and both stated the same thing: The shingles are fine, BUT there are issues. When they installed the shingles they did not run the shingles all the way to the house. They did not put any flange Flashing or caulking to protect the water from seeping under the shingles. There is a very evident gap between the house and where the shingles stop throughout the existing roof. They informed me the only thing that is saving me is the existing roof that is there, because the water is going under the shingles and running down on to the original roof shingles. I will have one of these companies do my work. I put my trust into this company and I thought would last me 30 years. Don't believe what they say, and get it in writing. I will warn my fellow Veterans to stay clear of this company
