Scouts pest control Recently completed a full encapsulation…read morewith a dehumidifier installed in our Crawlspace. We would highly recommend Scotts pest control to anyone looking to have their crawlspace encapsulated. we did our due diligence by getting estimates from 4 reputable companies. Scout's offered the best overall service and products, they removed the old 6 mil plastic vapor barrier and small debris and hauled it all away, raked and smoothed out the ground to provide the optimal surface for the vapor barrier, wrapped all of the piers with vapor barrier, installed "Bora-Foam" insulation board (termite repellenting) to the exterior foundation walls, proactively installed radon mitigation piping stubbed out and capped just above the vapor barrier and installed an "April Aire" dehumidifier (on its own dedicated electrical circuit) and it's so quiet we cannot hear it running from inside the house. They also did a proactive termite treatment around the entire foundation of the house. Kenny had a team 4 people working in the crawlspace a few days, other days 3 but not less than 2 all other days for almost 2 weeks. We are very happy with the work that they did.

Immediately following my post the owner of the company stepped out and was accountable for my customer experience. Not only that, he contacted me directly to listen to my concerns and proposed a number of ways to make it right. In addition, he had his best service tech and team come out to inspect the work and make any improvements necessary. I was very impressed by that and the follow up by his team. He continued to reach out to make sure I was satisfied. That's how you run a business and I am pleased to give him and his company the highest rating. As he mentioned, they're not perfect, but they made every attempt to get it right and make sure I was satisfied.

Every year, including this year they have showed up at my house WITHOUT scheduling an appointment. Every year I have complained. I spoke with a new supervisor this year that I am hoping will resolve the communication problems and that he felt like he knew who was failing to schedule the appointments/communicate. In addition, the bill I sent was for $180. When I went online my account showed a charge of $187. I contacted the company to complain about this and request a credit of more than just $7 for my stress and trouble but they only credited $7. Also Tim Freeman responded to my email stating that they had tried to contact me, which, THEY DID NOT, which led me to write this review. If you can't take ownership for your companies problems, they likely will not be resolved. Very disappointing. If it wasn't costly to switch termite companies, I would've already done it. Buyer beware.
