We looked through the Project Gallery, which had quite a variety of signs to choose from, and each of us selected a different one to make. These were the first signs any of us have ever made. They provided us with all the quality materials, tools, and personal instructions need for each project. The entire staff was personable, friendly, and knowledgeable with the variety of projects we choose from. Emily, was a godsend! She was very patient and detailed in answering our questions. She even assisted us when we doubted our ability. Kathy, the owner, was right there helping as needed while working with another group also. We never felt rushed. We brought a charcuterie tray and drinks with us to nibble and sip on as we worked. Such fun!! Keep in mind when picking projects and setting aside enough time to complete them, that the smaller signs could take an hour, the large ones can take two hours, and the real big ones can take even longer. Plan accordingly. I would definitely return to Hammer and Stain - Mt Juliet for more fun!!!

At first he wasn't thrilled about the idea but I forced him to come with me since I didn't want to waste our tickets. The class starts on time and 3 hours later, we were sad it was over! My fiancé actually got into it! They walk you through all the steps so there is really no way you could mess the painting up. It's not meant for artists. It's meant for people who've never painted before. Our instructor was really enthusiastic and was VERY patient. We had an older woman sitting across us who was over thinking and kept asking the instructor to fix her painting. I was annoyed but the assistant and the instructor were so patient and kind to her. You can bring alcohol so that obviously made it more fun for us too! this is such a good date night or a night with your friends. Check their calendar and the time allotted for each painting because the time it takes to finish one varies. It also gets really busy on that street so get there early! Eat somewhere at Lenox village instead. Traffic around that area is horrible! Great great experience! We loved it!

I went back to try and return it and they refused because I did not buy the "extended protection plan" despite it still being in original packing and a recent purchase. The employees are not at fault, it is a problematic corporate decision. Do not buy from them until they stop selling defective products and honor returns.

I was excited to check them out. I just peeked in the studio and galleries at lunch, but this place is awesome! It is very informal, you just walk in and check out the space! I only saw artists, but the lady I spoke with encouraged me to mingle and if I had any questions to talk to any of the artists. Cool! The prices were around $20 and up per piece, depending upon how large and intricate they are. They offer studio space, membership, and classes on site! I'll be back to check them out in more detail!
