First, I received a phone call from a Nashville-based company regarding a hair transplant. I'm guessing it was prompted by my doing so many internet searches. Unfortunately, intense radiation to treat brain cancer had destroyed so many follicles that a transplant wasn't an option for my girl! The nice gentleman on the other end of my phone told me "If you want the best service and the best products in the Southeast, go to Atlanta and see Curtis at Jentis Studios.". I was interested. I asked lots of questions. He told me, "Curtis is talented, and he is a good man. No pressure. No contracts. You will love him and his staff.. They will do you right and there will be no pressure at all.". Since we already had an appointment at the downtown Knoxville Hair Club and it was local, we thought... "We'll go and hear what they offer.". The Hair Club called us the day before to confirm Ellie's appointment. We went. Paid to park. Traveled up elevator to a locked door with a bunch of incoming packages in front of it! No one was there. Frustrated, we called the 1-800 number. They said that there had been a problem with the water and so they closed that day... They offered to reschedule our appointment and give us a $500 credit on products. Uggh! It just didn't feel right! 'Called Jentis. 'Spoke to Curtis. He told us to come on down and he'd work Ellie in. We arrived to find the kindest, most compassionate and respectful team of people that you would ever want to meet! We loved everyone there! Rosie - so sweet. Daphne - She is incredible, and you just immediately feel that you have a friend in her! Curtis... 'everything the man from Nashville told me that we could expect! Ellie loved him immediately. When Daphne put the hair on E's head she began cutting/styling it and Ellie started crying! Ellie said, "You don't have to do anything more! I love it! I can't believe it! I am so happy that you could do this for me!". Daphne intended to make it look better but Ellie was crying and hugging - and she insisted that she loved it as it was! Over two months later she still feels the same way! Ellie had hair for Thanksgiving 2017! It looks great! No one knows that it's not growing from her scalp unless we tell them. She loves it! We really do feel that we are now part of the Jentis family. While we were there at Jentis Studios we spoke to another long-time client. His hair looked great! He told us that he loved it and that he'd been very happy there for many years. Ellie says, "Mom, hair is so important. It can destroy your confidence if you lose it. Curtis and Daphne gave me my confidence back! I love having my hair!". She said these very words to me again today! It's now been over two months since the day we first made the drive from Knoxville to Jentis Studios in Atlanta. YES! We would recommend Jentis Studios to a friend!

Anderson Center for Hair - 3 days post op

Not because I was losing hair, but because I never had hair where I felt there should be. My temples looked recessed, and when splitting my face into thirds, my top third was noticeably longer than the other two. As a woman, it was embarrassing. I genuinely hated my hair because of it. I first considered hairline lowering surgery, but my facial plastic surgeon told me it wouldn't fix the shape, which was my main concern. She recommended Dr. Wetzel at Anderson Center for Hair. I also heard about the practice through a friend's referral. Two recommendations was enough for me to feel confident scheduling a consultation. Matt was my first point of contact, and he was great. Super knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and clearly passionate about what he does. I then met with Dr. Wetzel, who walked me through the best procedure for my situation, FUT, which doesn't require shaving a large section of my head for extraction of the donor follicles. I got the procedure scheduled the day of my consultation. Leading up to the surgery, the office did a great job keeping me informed and prepared, which really helped with my nerves. I knew exactly what to expect before, during, and after. On the day of, Dr. Wetzel gave me plenty of time to ask questions before we got started, and the whole team checked in on me constantly throughout, making sure I was comfortable and managing any discomfort as needed. The aftercare instructions were detailed and easy to follow, and I really appreciated the follow-up calls during recovery. I'm only a few months post-op, so there's not much growth yet (which is normal), but I already feel so much more confident, and I'm genuinely excited to see the final result. Zero regrets about choosing this practice!!

The procedure was not painful at all and I'm grateful for the wonderful attention/care provided by Dr. Wetzel and his staff - they made the experience simple, easy and comfortable. However, I do not recommend anyone go for help with their hair loss. I was charged a few thousand for a 10 month program consisting of a visit every 4 weeks. At each visit I had red light therapy and micro needling. I even took all of the supplements included and used the shampoo & conditioner included. I did not see any improvement. At half way through the 10 month program, they took pictures and compared them to when I started. They were bragging about how much progress my hair had made in the top section. I then explained to them that that was not true and the fact that I came there for help with the worst part of my head, which was my front hairline area. The great "results" they were trying to claim only appeared that way because 1) I had colored my hair a darker color, so it appeared to have more hair coverage 2) my hair was braided and my scalp was shown more so than when they took the photos later, I had my hair down and therefore my scalp did not show as much as when I had it braided. After my 7th visit, they canceled my appt due to inclement weather and the office was closing early. I was told someone would reach out soon and reschedule me. That never happened. I decided I was so disappointed with not seeing any results, that I decided not to call back and reschedule my appt. I feel that Dr. Nina needs to be honest and let potential clients know that she will not be able to help them based on the reason for their hair loss. I feel that she accepts all who come and consult with her regardless of what is causing their hair loss. Also, the office has a strong smell of an incense or deep floral aroma and it affected my breathing. I did bring that to their attention and at first, Dr. Nina tried to make me think there wasn't a strong odor in the office. On a later date, one of the staff members said there is an aroma that they were aware of. I didn't like the fact that Dr. Nina tried to make me think there wasn't a strong aroma in the office and that I was imagining things. If her practice is based on naturopathic therapies, then she should know not to have strong smells in the office as some clients may have allergies or sensitive lungs due to any number of lung disorders and strong scents can cause health issues. I do not recommend anyone spend thousands of dollars on her treatment "therapy" program. Please keep your money and visit a Dermatologist or do your own research on things that have been proven to work with for hair loss. My hair eventually started to look healthier just by stopping getting my crochet hairstyles where my hair was being braided too tight. Hope this helps. I wish every woman much success on their hair loss journey. Response to Nina/Business Owner's response: to make it clear -- I NEVER wore a crochet style or any other styles during my 7 months of treatment. I always came with my natural hair and had stopped getting crochet styles 3 months prior to coming to my first consultation. Your staff could not have reached my scalp/hair if I had been wearing a crochet or weave or any style that did not allow them access to my hair/scalp. That would have been very counterproductive to my treatments that I paid $3500 for and I don't have money to waste. And you nor your staff ever advised me not to color my hair, which by the way, was not permanent color. I use Adore brand semi-permanent color for my gray hair roots. Had you told me not to use the semi-permanent color while doing my treatments, I would have not. However, that is mild and has never damaged my hair. I did not during your treatments nor since then regain hair growth in my frontal area, so perhaps you should re-read my comment, which does not say that I have regrown hair in my frontal area. I said my top section, which is not the frontal recession at my forehead area. You should know that. You are not a medical doctor, which I understood, however, you should have been able to identify my frontal recession was not something you'd be able to help me with since I did tell you what medical condition I had. This is an error that is going to require a hair transplant, which I kind of figured, but was hoping for results as a last ditch effort. And at no time did I become combative when bringing the aroma issue to your staff. You are flat out lying about that accusation. I brought up the issue and there was a discussion about what it was and I said I would wear a mask on my visits in order to help minimize the breathing issue it was causing. Also, if you get in your feelings about anything you perceive as negative reviews, then perhaps you should not be in business. Your level of maturity and professionalism needs some work if you are going to be in a service related business, especially dealing with something as sensitive as helping people with their hair loss. I don't have anything else to say about this matter
