I stayed here for one night…read more The breakfast buffet was by far the best part of the experience. Tons of fresh food and juice options. Upon checking in, my key card didn't open the door to my room, which was on a high floor. So, I went back downstairs for the front desk to re-activate it. I returned to the same room only for the card to not work once again. I then went all the way back down to the lobby, at which time the front desk told me they were sending a technician to change the battery on the lock. Fine, but the front desk was completely unapologetic. I hung out in the executive lounge for a bit until that got sorted out. Once inside the room, it was quite nice. Clean and classy. Standard for a JW. The lobby is elegant. The pool area has very few lounge chairs and catches a lot of shade. I spent most of my time on the pool deck in the jacuzzi. Complimentary on-site parking for guests.

The hotel itself has a pretty good view, each room comes with a balcony - our suite had two balconies. The suite came with a couch, two loveseats, and a full dining table for 4. We ran into issues with our first room with the shower & sink's water and the hotel arranged for us to switch after a complaint and a 2am repair that didn't go very far. All in all - the hotel really tried their best to accommodate us, and the staff were very friendly. Beds were somewhat comfy, decor was a bit aged, and the air conditioner was really just a fan. Not a terribly bad place to just use as a place to sleep & be near clubs/nightlife if that's what you're looking for!

The breakfast buffet was outstanding and one of the highlights of our stay. It offered an impressive mix of Mexican and European dishes. If you are new to Mexico, try the freshly squeezed green juice--it was wonderfully refreshing and only mildly sweet. All buffet items were labeled in both English and Spanish. The hotel itself is elegantly designed, with a beautiful interior courtyard, restaurant, bar, and ballrooms. The front-desk staff spoke fluent English and were consistently professional. Most major tourist attractions are not within walking distance, but they are a reasonanly short Uber or taxi ride away. If this is your first visit to Mexico City and you have some extra time, I recommend walking around the neighborhood to get a feel for the city. There is also an OXXO convenience store about 100 feet from the hotel, which is convenient for bottled water, snacks, and other necessities. Our room was beautifully decorated, with hardwood finishes and coordinated colors. It faced the street, but the noise level was reasonably low at night. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and did an excellent job cleaning the room every day. The room was generally well maintained, although there were two noticeable issues in the bathroom. There was approximately a four-inch hole in one corner of the bathroom ceiling, apparently associated with recent water damage. I didn't notice the issue right away because the bathroom was in a very good condition otherwise. In addition, a screw fell out of the drain cover at the bottom of the shower during our stay. Despite these maintenance issues, the hotel made us feel truly welcomed, we had an excellent overall experience and would stay here again.

Seems to me like there was a group who was very unagreeable and each left a bad review. The lobby is comfortable to stay while waiting for check in, the room is spacious with clean amenities, and whoever came to clean our room every day did a great job. Not to mention the staff is very helpful and warm, a special thanks to Juan Ramirez for helping me find my lost item! Very quick to help and was very organized. Overall, I would stay here again.

One of the biggest advantages of staying there is that the hotel is literally connected to Hospital Ángeles Pedregal through a first-floor indoor walkway. After having surgery, that direct connection made everything so much easier. I didn't have to worry about transportation, traffic, or being out on the street while recovering. It felt safe, seamless, and incredibly practical during a time when comfort and accessibility really matter. I only stayed for a few days, but the customer service stood out right away. The staff was very accommodating and allowed me to check in early, which helped a lot since I was coordinating around medical appointments. Everyone I interacted with was kind and professional. The hotel provides complimentary bottled water in the rooms, which I appreciated. The water quality was good, and having bottled water readily available made it easy to stay hydrated while recovering. In the mornings, they also offer complimentary coffee, tea, and fruit at the front desk -- a small touch, but thoughtful and helpful when you're not feeling up to going far for breakfast. There is a restaurant downstairs in the hotel. It was okay, but I found it overpriced for what it offered. The same goes for room service -- convenient, but definitely expensive. Honestly, I'd recommend walking over to the hospital instead, where there are several food options that are more affordable and offer more variety. Overall, staying at Camino Real Pedregal made my medical trip much smoother. The direct hospital connection and helpful staff were the highlights, and for anyone traveling to Mexico for procedures at Hospital Ángeles Pedregal, the convenience alone makes it a strong option.
