I stay here often for work out of proximity to our faculty in Toluca. It's located on a major…read moreroad/highway that runs through Toluca. It is also has a gated perimeter and security within the elevators (scan your key). The rooms are always clean and comfortable. I recently got upgraded to a junior suite on my last stay. The suite was nice and a lot extras (additional sitting room, bar, microwave, and large bathroom. The food at the restaurant is actually very good. I always get the breakfast included within the rate, which includes a breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet changes day-to-day, but usually has scrambled eggs, meat, fruit, and crescents. The dinner menu is adequate, which I usually get the flank steak or chicken and I'm never disappointed. Now my issue with this hotel.... the hotel front desk is lacking, and there seems to always be confusion. The selling point for me is the free shuttle service to and from work, and the front desk always mess up my shuttle reservations. I'm usually waiting at least 30 mins and call the front desk every 10 mins, while I am waiting, which they never seem to have a good excuse. The front desk also once gave away my reservation because I arrived after 11PM (but noted it in my reservation), which they shuttles me to the Courtyard by the airport. My perspective of the hotel changes from stay to stay. The rooms are nice and always clean. The restaurant on site is decent and I usually eat here for my entire trip. The problem I have with the hotel is the shuttle service, which to me is the biggest selling point. The shuttle are very in unreliable and I usually have to wait over 45 mins after the committed time I scheduled.

The Tolocan Marriott is conveniently located from all the nearby businesses with a descent size mall right across the hotel for a quick shopping need. The hotel staff is friendly. The breakfast service was the most impressive among the hotel ranking parameters. Hotel van can be used as a mode of transportation if you want to explore the city. Just a heads up they need a 2 hour notice.
