Upon checking in, my key card didn't open the door to my room, which was on a high floor. So, I went back downstairs for the front desk to re-activate it. I returned to the same room only for the card to not work once again. I then went all the way back down to the lobby, at which time the front desk told me they were sending a technician to change the battery on the lock. Fine, but the front desk was completely unapologetic. I hung out in the executive lounge for a bit until that got sorted out. Once inside the room, it was quite nice. Clean and classy. Standard for a JW. The lobby is elegant. The pool area has very few lounge chairs and catches a lot of shade. I spent most of my time on the pool deck in the jacuzzi. The mall has a Starbucks, McDonalds, Chili's and a full grocery store - just to name a few. The largest mall in Latin America is a short Uber ride away. This hotel is on the modern side and service is impecable. I always get a junior suite which is large and very comfortable, full bath with a great shower and a second half bath makes it convenient. The bed is delicious as well as the duvet and the pillows. Towels are high quality and amenities are Molton Brown which are great. It is located next to a small shopping center that has restaurants and some stores, so also convenient there. All in all, this hotel is almost home away from home for me in Mexico DF. Enjoy

The hotel room is clean and the shower is so nice. It's one of those large round ceiling shower heads that rains water down on you. The cleaning service came in every day and made my room so nice. The downside was the lock box stopped working the second day of my stay so I had to keep valuables to store in my luggage. Nothing was stolen, maybe because I leave a nice tip for them every day! The pillows though...they are super hard. Well they give you a hard and a little softer one but they were both too hard for me. I would stay here again if I had to go to a tradeshow nearby. 4 stars for the sweet staff for taking care of my cerveza needs and the orange juice is one of the best I had.

MORE THAN 50 TIMES I had to magnetize the card going up and down to the reception to have my key changed. TERRIBLE. avoid this hassle, unless you have the patience and time to speak with retarded helpless people on the counter that dont know what customer service is. secondly, the people in charge of taking the luggage, (specially the tall fat guy with curly hair) is the most laziest and not courteous person. he didnt want to move a thumb to help carry our baggage and tried to avoid us many times. The food, HORRIBLE, served cold, with no seasoning, no flavor, no dressings, very flat. I recommend to go to Vapiano that is in front of the hotel, it is much higher quality food and for the price is WORTH IT, or go to sanborns inside the Samara Mall (that is in front too) and you can have breakfast for half the price and of course is much much better than the crap food from NOVOTEL. Lastly, and most important, DONT TRUST ANYONE HERE, I WAS STOLEN FROM MY ROOM, A BEAUTIFUL GUESS LEATHER JACKET THAT THEY DIDNT EVEN REIMBURSE ME. THEY DIDNT DO SH^&T.
