They came weeks early and I complained and was told not to worry he'd make it right. They came again closer to the town's pickup time. We had agreed to $90 for the work - and the town permit was $55 - so I didn't get my past service for $150. Today I get a bill for $450. I call him and he says that's wrong, sorry, not your invoice, oops. Should be $270 for three visits. I tell him I asked for one visit. He says he's got to pay his guys. I say cut me some slack and I'll hire you in the Spring to do my lawn - $270 is WAY mucho $$ for me with a kid in college. He's says $250. I say, you'll get it but lose my lawn business. He doesn't care - so they did a GREAT JOB, overcharged me by hundreds and then there's a "misunderstanding" and they won't go halfway. He's a good guy, but this is the kind of thing I really can't stand. He doesn't need my lawn business because there's a lot of lawns out there. That happens these days. We need them more than they need us since there's so much demand.

Manuel called me back right away and we scheduled a time for him to come to give us a free estimate. He arrived when he said he would, was very professional and his price was awesome (much better than other services we had contacted). We booked him right then and there. We agreed on a date he and his crew would be back for the tree removal. They showed up on time and well prepared on the day we scheduled. We had 6 trees (and they were big trees) to be removed and they finished in 4 and a half hours. That included removing all branches, grinding the stumps and even blowing the wood chips off the lawn. I called franks tree service on May 3rd for a tree trimming and pruning and spoke to Julien. Julien…read moreis nice enough on the phone. He told me that his guys were going to be in my neighborhood on the 4th and could stop by around 1pm to trim the tree. They never showed up and by late afternoon Julien informed me that they couldn't make it and that they would have to come by the next day. On the 5th it was raining so Julien again informed me in the afternoon on the 6th that they would come trim the tree at 8am on the 7th. They never showed up and it wasn't until late in the afternoon that Julien called me and said his guys would be by on the 8th. Then on the 8th it rained and Julien wanted to reschedule for the following Monday. I said it was fine and that the safety of his crew was definitely the main priority. He then proceeded to tell me that it was in his best interest to get the guys to get the work done because he doesn't receive his commission unless they do. Ah ha! and there it was, the reason I kept getting jerked around with when I was going to get my tree trimmed, and why I was only notified late in the day after I was able to call any other tree company to come out and take care of the tree. It was due to Julien's commission! On Monday May 10th Julien let me know that they would be coming by to trim the tree. They showed up at 4:50 pm and told me that they had to clear the work with the boss, because he doesn't like them working past 5pm, and that they just did four full removals today and that they didn't have enough time to do this job. So I asked him why it was that Julien would schedule so much in a day (obvious commissions aside). He told me that Julien was just a sales guy and didn't realize how much work it actually takes to remove a full tree. So he makes promises to the clients and then overbooks the actual workers. So this guy tells me that him and his guys are going to work for 45 minutes, then clean up and finish the job tomorrow, which I agreed to (I mean what other choice did I have at this point?). But they pulled their truck into my driveway (parked it on top of my wife's beloved flowers) then did nothing for twenty minutes before leaving. When I told Julien that they parked on our flowers he said that it was a good thing that they grow back. They came back the next day and pulled their truck right back into the same spot on top of the flowers. When I pointed out that they didn't seem too concerned about the driveway being too tight because they pulled in the same way, Julien got offended saying "how am I supposed to get to the tree?" and that it's not their fault the driveway is very tight. Well it's also not my job to figure out how your guys should use their equipment to do their job and not damage my property. When I came home from work after they had trimmed my tree and left, I noticed that they had moved all of my outdoor furniture and made zero effort to put it back from where they moved it. This was an absolutely awful experience and I don't plan to use this company ever again, and I urge everyone else to overlook them as well. The only reason they got a second star is because they did an okay job trimming the tree.
