Will showed me where our existing chimney was basically falling apart (yay old homes!), and explained how he could rebuild it using reclaimed brick that would match the original. He was very thorough in tracing the gas lines through the property to ensure there were no leaks anywhere, and getting gas restored to the fireplace. He also showed me where there were cracks on the fireplace refectory panels, and sealed them to prevent damage. His crew even vacuumed the gas logs so we weren't burning off dust when we lit the fire. Very highly recommend. We hope to use them in the spring to rebuild our chimney.

But what they DID NOT do is WATERPROOF my basement. I had to call them last year when my basement flooded and they sent someone out to drill holes in the brick. I don't know what that was for but it didn't work (evidently) I had to call them again after the rains we've had the past few months...of course they were hesitant they tried to find any reason they could to tell me what is not covered in the warranty under my contract. Hmm now I'm very upset because I think that HomSpec is.....trying to "FEED ME BS" so to speak. I'm persisntant I call again and they send a service manager out with a magnet because maybe there is a drain under my floor that was missed when the tiles were laid. He didn't find a drain. (This is clear rain water not sewage water by the way). When he didn't find a drain under the tiles, he tells me that he's sorry and if the water comes back call them again. The water is BACK. AGAIN!!!!! I am not going to put on this review what I think about HomeSpec but hire them at your own risk. Let's just say these 5 * reviews might be from HomeSpec's family or friends.

He was right on with his estimate and showed up and got to work. We worked out with him ahead of time the design, the steps, the color, height, etc. If he had questions while working on it, we always discussed next steps to make sure there were no surprises. The biggest thing is John is on the job when work is being done and he doesn't sub it out to others. He and his team worked their butts off whenever they were on site. There were a few days in between, since forms need to be made, concrete has to cure, aggregate needed exposing and other activities. So the whole process took about 3 weeks, but we were never concerned that he wouldn't be back to do the next step. He kept us informed every step of the way. Plus - he just seems like an all around great guy, very personable and good workers on the job with him. Our patio is gorgeous, everyone loves it and so do we. We would hire him for any project if we needed work done again.

Jake White came out the very next day and spent a good 2 1/2 hours performing a detailed inspection of my roof, even crawling in attic spaces that had not been seen since the house was build. After the inspection, Jake went over all of the details of my roof's condition and provided detailed recommendations. After answering all of my concerns and questions, he then provided an estimate, including any discounts, such as for being a senior citizen. After accepting the estimate, installation was scheduled, and the roof was installed within a week. Prior to the installation, Jake, being concerned with the house's venting, reached out to another contact and then later informed me that they would be providing additional venting, at no cost to me. The materials were delivered on the date and time promised and the installation team arrived the next day at the time promised, and the complete installation, including cleanup, was completed in one day. Jesse was the Project Manager and did a great job overseeing the project, including documenting every step of the process, including photos and providing the team with suggestions. Jesse also went above and beyond to help address one of the furnace pipes that was in bad condition and trimming some tree branches that I felt should be cut as they were scraping on the roof. Also, the team's supervisor, sorry I forgot his name, did a good job in directing the team, and the team of around 10 guys worked tirelessly throughout the day. I was completely satisfied with Tittle Brothers, their commitment to estimated times and cost, their salesman Jake White, their Project Manager Jesse, their installation team and their team supervisor, and the installation as a whole. I would definitely be willing to recommend Tittle Brothers to others seeking help with their roofing needs. KUDOS!!

They don't prep the ground properly before pouring the concrete. I filed for arbitration pursuant to their own contract and they ignored proper process. Resulting in the consumer having to take them to civil court. Unethical and they should be investigated by the State of Michigan. My concrete heaves every winter resulting in not being able to use my back door to my house. I have have to grind down the concrete every year. In a word they suck. They are owned by a hack. $10,000 spent. So bad that checking 1 star is too much!

I just bought a house with a new entire driveway done by Olsen cement I have lived in the home less than 3 months and the driveway is turning to dust with flakes even though I only have one car that never sits on this driveway for more than 30 seconds twice a day. I call about his issue and get the same woman that it seems most of these other people got and tell her about my issue, she says that the work was done last year but she cant see the month it was done in because they recently changed systems (convenient). she asks if I bought the home and I say yes and then she says "well the work was not done with you so there is no warranty". what a wild statement to say, so that means that if they like you and work with you then they will warranty it but they don't actually warranty the WORK itself. even if they did its only a one year warranty and that seems low for such work as concrete. she claims the state made them change the concrete mix (to a type that makes customers stuff fall apart I guess) and that many people are having this issue. They did the same thing as what i'm seeing to Raymon Crow, Deborah Davis, and James Conely (all reviews here on google within a year of now) in those cases they seem to have tried to talk to the home owners about this issue but here? no just welp cant help ya sorry bud, they are not even trying to help with this problem that they know is an issue with many clients. To be clear she said that even if I was the person that they sold the job to AND it was within the ONE YEAR warranty that they STILL would not warranty this because they only cover "cracks" not the crap material they use. The lady lied to me saying she cant see the date but then said that they have privacy laws so she can see it but just wont tell me about it, then she lied saying there was no warranty but there is and what she meant was there was no warranty FOR ME as a dirty peasant but there is one for the other guy that they did the work for. her claim that the warranty for Olsen's work does not transfer with ownership of the property is ridiculous and in my eyes shameful and shady. This might make sense if they had a longer warranty but its only one year, this rule seems talor made for a person to get a job done cheap and sell the house just for it to fall apart on the buyer later on. Why not take pride in what you do? Think about it, who is this company for? Not the consumer that's for sure, the homeowner? nope its for large companies or housing sellers that flip houses get work done for cheap so they can refuse to back up work while claiming to treat every job like they did it for "family". Not sure what type of family Olsen comes from but if someone did half of what i've seen here to me or anyone else like those others listed earlier they would not have a seat at my table for thanksgiving that's for damn sure. The lady says there is no manager to speak to, no recourse for this issue and seemed annoyed at me for questioning this practice. As a rule I stay respectful with customer service over the phone but I will say this lady's attitude really tests your patience almost like she is goading you to yell at her. I could not imagine what it would be like having spent thousands on a job to be greeted with this level of cooperate dismissal, but since they refuse to help me this is what we do now. they seem to respond to reviews so that is where ill go, ill post my review and story in as many places as I can and hopefully it reaches someone in Olsen that has a shred of care enough to reach out (even though there is no managers to speak to of course). They have my number and I do hope for a good solution that will allow me to edit this review one day. To me, unless you work with black rock or some company that will turn and burn this job, Olsen does not do enough to make me feel comfortable and trust them with any work.
