Avoid this company at all costs!!!!. (Added photo of proof of service after seeing their response)…read more This is long but important. First off, their positive reviews are suspicious--most are bunched together in time and clearly padded. I even found one that was obviously the same person using multiple accounts. I'll share screenshots incase they change after my review They hook you in by claiming they'll "save you money" through insurance, but once you sign the contract, it all falls apart. I was left handling most of the insurance communication myself. They had me sign a contract for $13,500, which they submitted to my insurance, saying it covered everything--including enough to cover my deductible if I skipped windows and gutters. Sounded great. I paid the deposit... and then, silence. A month later, they sent a new estimate to insurance for $31,000, claiming a full tear-off was needed because my decking wasn't up to code--something they would've seen during their initial inspection. When I asked why this wasn't included in the original quote, they said the original didn't even include the roof. How does a roofing contract not include the roof? Even before insurance approved the new amount, they delivered materials, leaving me stressed and unsure whether I'd be stuck with the difference. Their communication was awful--everything verbal, nothing in writing, and I was bounced between three people. When insurance finally approved the supplement, Gold Medal refused to provide an updated contract. Their new estimate didn't even match the materials ordered (e.g., charging for 8 vents but only ordering 7). I refused to let anyone start work until I had everything in writing. When I pushed back, the staff member I spoke to got so flustered she accidentally called me right back instead of her supplemental gal Keisha (who stopped talking to me all together) and was trash-talking me!!!! Then came the actual job. A total disaster. My pictures say it all--bloody fingerprints, sloppy work, cigs left all over, jagged cut siding, attic insulation not put back causing major loss of heat in that area, and a roof that failed inspection THREE TIMES. The lead guy, Corey, kept saying things were "normal" that clearly weren't. Even another lead ground guy doing someone else's roof I know was bad-mouthing and talking about the incompetency of the company and people in it. (So why do you work for them?) It took four months just to start, then another 2.5 months to finally pass inspection. Over six months for a roof. I had to get a lawyer involved, and only then did they finally start responding and cooperating. They'll probably respond to this like they do to other bad reviews--claiming they went "above and beyond" and "saved me money." But insurance coverage isn't a gift--it's your money. You have the right to expect good work and a safe home. To top it off, I found out they subcontract all the actual roofing work, and none of their team has a roofing background! At least none shared on their linked pages including the owner. They're all connected through an MLM group called Life Platform, where they inflate each other's businesses with reviews and referrals boosting their visibility. They can say whatever they want--my photos speak for themselves. A trashed yard, poor workmanship, and a nightmare experience from start to finish. Hopefully my learning experience can save you the trouble.

BUYER BEWARE. We entered into a contract that we later learned was misrepresented as a whole roof…read moreand the contract was for a half. We gave a deposit in July 2024, by the end of October 2024 we still did not have our roof o our home. when we requested more detailed scope of work detailing the full roof repair before work was to start, things began to be more hostile. We requested a full refund of the deposit as no work had begun still after 3 months, the GM in Michigan Bill Lewis told us we would be getting a full refund of our deposit as did Brandon Perry, the representative we were working with at the time. A few days later, the CEO and his wife both emailed stating that we owed them MORE money for a "cancelled contract." For now work or materials ever being delivered or performed they want to keep our $3000 deposit and they want an additional $600+ from us. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. Untrustworthy, lying and unethical business practices by misrepresenting contracts and taking advantage of the lack of knowledge of a homeowner. He wrote my contract for 16 square when a full roof would have been 32, and I was none the wiser. I asked for an updated contract before work would begin and they did not want to give it to me. It was after the pushback on trying to get a detailed scope of work before the work began that we decided we wanted to part ways and find a new contractor. BEWARE. We are now going to small claims court to try to get our deposit back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. DO NOT TRUST THEIR REPRESENTATIVES. *We also refused to sign their little form that they asked me to sign allowing them to sue if we cancelled the contract, I thought that was completely shady so I did not sign it. They are still trying to go after us for money even though I did not sign their shady form.* BEWARE of Bill Lewis, Brent Campeau, Brandon Perry, Douglas Stroh and Tiffany Stroh.
