I can't say enough great things about Penny Williams & her hair salon…read more Penny's been doing my extensions for years now, and I can't imagine letting anyone else even touch my hair! As soon as you walk in you feel the creative ambiance. The atmosphere and decor of the salon is inspiring within itself. Above all, it's the expertise, and genuine passion that makes Penny and her salon so brilliant. I naturally have short, curly and very challenging hair. Penny is literally able to transform my hair with extensions. The way she is able to blend my own hair with extension hair is simply amazing. Penny is a master stylist & it's very apparent in her work. Penny's passion for her business is another reason she's a notch above the rest. She genuinely cares about her clients and their satisfaction. I once got a cut I wasn't thrilled with-Penny took the time to rearrange her schedule and fit me in on one of her days off to ensure I was happy. She goes above and beyond and I can't imagine being with anyone else!

They are top notch master stylists and they do exceptional life changing results to your hair, and your peace of mind. Words alone cannot express how grateful l am. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to both of you. Much Appreciation.. Davida Chuckrow

I had a wonderful experience with Lauran! She is a very talented hair stylist, who left my hair…read morelooking healthy and beautiful. I have long hair and am always worried about a new stylist cutting too much off - Lauran did a wonderful job of leaving my length while adding in face framing layers. She also provided very helpful suggestions! Additionally, the studio was very warm and welcoming. Prices were fantastic - $32 for a top notch haircut! I will definitely be back.

My first experience at Kristin's was thanks to a groupon purchased by my wonderful fiance (then,…read moreboyfriend) for a massage, facial, and manicure. The time came where the groupon had nearly expired -- given that I am a terrible procrastinator -- and Kristin worked VERY hard with me to find a time where I could come in. All of the services that I received were exceptional, and although I haven't had my hair done by Kristin yet, she is a kind and welcoming individual who always seems glad to see me. Since that first time, I have been in every couple of months for one person in particular: Amy, the aesthetician of my dreams. Amy is my guru, my hero, my Yoda. When I first came in, I had (with all of the best of intentions) completely destroyed my skin. I had been using various products I knew very little about in an attempt to treat my acne which had actually happened as a result of the astringent products I was using making my face extremely sensitive! To hide this from others I was piling foundation and concealer onto my face, which prevented any kind of healing. Amy knew instantly what was wrong and had all sorts of recommendations to make. Every day my skin looks better, and each time I go to Kristin's her smile shows me how drastic the change has been. In fact, with the exception of a tinted SPF I have been using, I have almost completely ceased to use make-up. I don't need it! My skin is incredible! Although everyone at Kristin's will make your day and make you feel fabulous, I cannot recommend Amy's services highly enough. My sister (also an aesthetician) had been telling me for months to find a professional and get real advice about my skin, and her advice led me to this person who made a HUGE difference in my self-image and confidence. Go to Kristin's! As soon and as often as possible!!! You will not regret this decision!

I've been here 4 or 5 times at this point and have had a very good experience overall. One thing I…read morelike about the place is, obviously, the price. It's super reasonable to get a haircut here because they are students. On top of that, it feels like a salon (although there are students working on their dummy heads to practice). They have a separate wash room that is a bit more serene and a busy salon floor. The students are generally friendly and eager. They are also supervised by a learning leader (I've noticed there are usually at least two, often three, walking the floor at all times). I think most of the time the students are good about checking in with their learning leader if they're unsure about how to do something. (My two cents: There is a male learning leader with short dark hair who is especially good with the students.) If something is too complicated for a student, the learning leader models how to do it. I did have a student sort of rush, but only once. I still walked out with a good cut, although I think she should have checked in with her learning leader before moving ahead with a part of the cut. She also "styled" by hair with the straightener, which cost $8 more than the $12 cut I was expecting, so that was sort of unpleasant. I'm sure I could have spoken up and had that fee removed since I didn't want the styling, but I didn't feel like getting into it. If I had one suggestion, it would be that the school offered either a physical or digital comment card so that customers could leave feedback for the students. It's not asked for in any way, which seems weird to me considering the learning aspect, and if it were to be asked, I'd rather write it down than have a potentially awkward conversation with the student. That being said, I am really happy with the Paul Mitchell School and will continue to go back for my my cuts, especially since I get pretty simple styles (although I've seen them do great, more complicated stuff on other clients getting work done). I started going here because my coworker's daughter attended the school and she was getting her (great) hair done there (and I was hearing good things about their program from my coworker). I haven't gone anywhere else since.

I was a student here and honestly all of my thoughts could not fit on here but all I can say is,…read moreworst place I have ever been in my LIFE. And this wasn't just me that felt this way. You walk into the student bathroom and people are in tears about how horrible it is. And how they waisted 24 THOUSAND dollars. They can't keep staff because they treat them like absolute garbage. Admin is nothing but rude and do not care about anyone. You learn how to do nails on a paper. They stopped doing all services other than hair. No nails, waxing or pedicures. On top of it all, my parents made a check to them and it bounced! I will say they fixed the problem within 48 hours but the problem should not have occurred. They bash other cosmetic schools because "they teach more" no they do not. Go somewhere cheaper and kinder to students and staff
