I'm hoping they add one more class to a week night, so I can keep going twice a week when I return to work. See you soon!

The owner Dean was very nice demonstrating the machines when I enrolled. I was even able to get the WiFi details so I can stream my shows while I am warming up. As long as I have my key fob I can enter the gym. I've worked out as late as 11pm. I give this place an excellent rating. 5 stars!

She's reliable and professional and offers a lot of different options for her clients as a part of the program (the option to add group classes, partner workouts, etc.) As a bonus she goes out of her way to build community with her clients and she has an adorable dog.

I was new to the studio and they took the time to actually introduce themselves and make sure I felt comfortable before class started, which made a big difference as a first-timer. The workout itself was a great mix of challenging and fun. I haven't worked out in a long time so I definitely had the shakes by the end of class, but it was just the right amount of challenging. I've been to classes where it can feel like too much and it ended up hurting my body more than helping. Also a huge plus: plenty of parking, which is not always a given. Jennifer is so talented in that she can really hold the practical aspects of what I am bringing forward from my life (both physically and emotionally) and she can really tune into the feelings on a spiritual level as well. I've long since ditched competitive Lululemoned yoga "workouts" for Jennifer's balanced approach which is much more grounded in the wisdom from yoga's roots and inclusive of much more than just the movement/exercise piece. If you are open to it, she will teach you about the 8 limbs of yoga and help you create practices that support your entire wellbeing. I was sorry to hear the review from the man who was turned away at the door. I'm not sure of the circumstances but I have heard of men being in her small classes and often encourage my partner to visit Jennifer for help with his hip pain. Someday!

"Get out of the head and get into the body" is my favorite saying of hers, though there are many I carry into my daily life. She is enormously capable of meeting every person where they are at and still elevating their yoga and mindfulness practices. We have enjoyed a large rotation of regular attendees among novices or one-timers needing the immediate centering, and she provided a safe, serene and challenging space to connect to our minds, bodies and spirits. I cannot recommend her highly enough for individual practice, group practice, corporate sessions, short, long, vinyasa, slow flow, all of it. Recovering from injury? She can help. Interested in new ways to address chronic pain? She can help. I know because she's helped me with all these goals at different times. I have taken one-on-one sessions with Rie in her home studio as well as at other pilates locations, group mat classes at a pilates studio, and even paired sessions, when I wanted to workout alongside my sister visiting town. She has worked with me when I was recovering from a torn rotator cuff, as well as working with me through migraines and plantar fasciitis, not to mention everyday small stuff like I didn't sleep well or similar. I ALWAYS leave Rie feeling immediately better than when I arrived, no matter what we do. In the years since I've been working with Rie I have less pain and sleep better-- including both times when I've been really focused on fitness and times when I've been working out less. Here's what Rie won't do: she won't shame you about what you've eaten or that you've been on vacation or taken a break from training. She won't ask you to apologize for having a full life, or for pursuing pleasure as well as health. She's a genius at adapting the workout mid session in response to feedback. She'll ask you questions during or after an exercise about where you feel it or what has changed, and if you take these questions seriously and try to explain what you're aware of, she will use it to inspire the next exercise. She likes to problem solve and she will be actively working on easing or stretching or strengthening something, depending on what you're looking for. No rote generalized routines here, nearly every weekly session is genuinely different from the last, as Rie responds in real time to what you report today. It's also worth saying that she's a badass, a genuinely interesting multi-talented woman who knows wine and whiskey, and a variety of topics because she's also edited books, worked in tech, etc. Men, women, young, old, fit, injured, ambitious, whatever: she can help.
