I was having a tough time getting an Uber or taxi from Henley to Heathrow. The Chiltern dispatcher…read morewas considerate and said he would send a driver immediately. They picked me up five minutes later. The drive to Heathrow was smooth, and the driver was very helpful with the luggage. I would highly recommend this service if you are in Henley.

This weekend my flight was delayed by six hours and, as I walked through security, the driver called to make sure that I was OK and to advise his location at the airport. Fares are four quid within the town and they generally (regatta excepting) can have a car with you in ten minutes.

Been a commuter for over ten years and tried many of the taxi firms in and around Hemel. Star Taxis…read moreare so far the best, for the longest time - been using them regularly over 6 months, many different trips, and never a problem. They communicate if needs be, dressed well, taxis clean. As any Hemel commuter knows, it's really tough to get taxis from the station sometimes (the queuing system is woeful), so my tip of the day is to call up in advance, even when leaving Euston!

When I spoke to the "manager" he said I should have assumed his price was each way and that it wasn't his fault if I can't hear properly! I had no confirmation of the journey by text or email and no verbal or written confirmation of the price...but apparently that's my fault as a customer, not the person who runs the business. Terrible!

I ordered a car going to Heathrow airport and was quoted 33 pounds by the operator. I told her that I was leaving London with no cash so wanted exact quote based on credit card. I was never told any additional processing fee. When I called the company regarding the undisclosed fee, they said there is nothing they can do and just left me there. Needless to say, I was forced to pay the additional fee even though I got a quote upfront, while being very clear with what I needed to avoid the hassle on the day of departure.

When I called the office to complain I was blamed for not specifically requesting air conditioning and the lady actually said I could have taken the train!! Given I am a customer- a loyal one at that- and had booked the taxi for practical reasons, this shocked me! Promised myself I won't be using Gemini again after that!

If I'm ever ordering a taxi, I use Gemini…read more Every time I use this company I am impressed. As a student I'm used to being ripped off or belittled but Gemini drivers are always professional, fair and friendly. The phone calls are quick and simple with the operator always chirpy and helpful no matter what time I ring up (sometimes 4am - I couldn't be that happy working at 4am!). Often the journeys I take are with many people so require many stops, but unlike other taxi firms the drivers never seem annoyed and know the area so well that it doesn't present a problem. If I'm travelling alone I still feel safe, which as a young female is rare. What most impressed me, however, is that when we hired a few of their taxis to take us to the station for a night out, the driver insisted very politely that we all put our seatbelts on before he moved off. I found that unbelievably safe and assuring.
