Came here for bottomless drag brunch hosted in the Long Room. The event didn't start on time, had 45 minutes of entertainment but was advertised as a 2-hour event, and didn't match the theme of what was advertised. However, it's a restaurant review, so I'll limit it to the drinks, food, and service. There were 3 choices of alcoholic drinks: prosecco, cosmopolitan, and sex on the beach - they were alright; I wish there were more options, like wine and beer, which are also easy to serve bottomless. The pizza was yum. From what I could tell, I think they nailed the toppings, but I set the crust aside. Lastly, the staff there were great. On The Waterfront is (unsurprisingly) located on a lovely sunny spot on the waterfront. So you can eat, drink and be merry while watching all the swans and the river. The pizzas here are huuuuuuuge! I didn't read the menu carefully enough, so ordered a half and half pizza, with two flavours...not realising that I would receive a pizza double the size(!) I only managed to eat four slices - but they have pizza boxes for me to take the rest home. Although I was too full to move, my friend then ordered a chocolate fondue for us to share. Somehow I had a separate stomach for chocolate so we managed to eat most of it. The chocolate was a bit too runny, but it tasted good. In summary it's a nice place to spend lots of time watching swans and munching pizza. read more

We go here as a family several times a year. Always consistently great food no matter what we order. Staff always welcoming and very friendly. Can't do enough to help. The dairy free and gluten free options are always excellent aswell. read more

Located smack bang in the middle of the quay, if it's sunny then it's a great spot to sit outside and enjoy the view. Inside to is massive with large tables, which makes it a popular spot for birthdays and groups. The pizzas are massive so again great for sharing with a group. read more

Great restaurant located on the Quay in Exterior. They have inside and outside seating available. Their menu is extensive but the restaurant is well known for its pizzas especially the dustbin lid ones which are huge and great for sharing. Pizzas can be customised and extra toppings can be added. Staff here are very friendly and accommodating if you wanted to change something on the menu and service was also swift. Pizzas are thin, crispy and delicious, would totally recommend! read more

Pizza's are awesome, You will never leave here hungry. They also do a decent range of real ales. I think this is an ideal place for events like works parties as they can cater for large groups quite easily. There is also free loyalty card available from the website which gives discounts. read more

It's a great place to come to when you're down on the Quay. It's probably the area I think of on a nice summer evening - a few drinks, a nice al fresco atmosphere and quite often some fun events going-on in the area. I can't remember a time around here before the Waterfront - even though it is sometimes years between visits, I always love going there! It's not your average fancy romantic dinner for two, it's more of a really good place for a group. The dustbin lid pizzas are legendary among the people of Exeter!!! read more

The tapas we had were very good. I didn't like the service at the bar because one of the bartenders was borderline rude; she did not seem very happy to be working there. Fortunately I only dealt with her once. They have a nice deal with ordering tapas and getting free wine which I recommend. I went in the evening and the place in front was under construction but I can see that place being a nice location to be outside during summer time. They are busy so make sure you have reservations if you want to use the restaurant. read more

Lovely pub with fantastic pizzas. It works out excellent value for money when sharing a dustbin lid pizza. The staff are very friendly and welcome children during the day, my 2 year old was fussing a bit when we went there recently and so the barman bought her over a balloon to play with which i thought was a really nice gesture! read more

Great pizza. They now do glutein free pizzas too. Gets horribly busy in the evenings though, particularly in the summer and the queue for food tends to go out the door on Fridays. The menu offers Pizza, Burgers and Pasta dishes, all of which are excellent. Sitting outside on a warm evening overlooking the Quay is highly recommended. You will also find hair straightners in the women's toilets which cost £1 for around 5 minutes use. There is also a function room which is available to hire for birthdays and special occasions. I used to go to the waterfrom it the 90's and it still has not changed much. Super large pizza's. The building is quite large and you can sit outside for a relaxed drink or bite to eat. Reasonable prices. I would say good for a large group wanting a few beers and a bite to eat but not what i would say the perfect setting for a romantic dinner for 2. Having said that it does not promote itself to be romantic dining experience. Great location right on the river exe for a stroll to work of that super large pizza !! read more

A spontaneous visit here today. A very funky venue great decor. We had tapas to share with some curly fries glammed up with baconnaise. Everything was delightful, fresh tasting and full of flavour. The only negative would be that the team weren't overly interactive and the fries did get stuck to the paper. Overall a lovely experience though. read more

The food is generally very good. I had a wonderful Salmon dish here on one occasion and the pizzas are always very nice. The only downside is that it's best not to go when it's likely to be very busy as it can be almost impossible to have a conversation with other people on your table due to the way that the sound bouces around the curved ceilings. read more

Reasonably priced food - mainly pizzas in a converted quay-side industrial lock-up. Not the quality food it produced in it's hey-day - a couple of owners back, but good starting point for a night out. read more

On the Waterfront sits on the side of the River Exe at Exeter Quay Side. The building used to beused as storage sheds for boats and equiptment as evidenced by the long arched rooms inside. Inside, there is a bar at the front with a restaurant towards the back. The pub is famed for its large dust bin lid sized pizzas which are perfect for a group to enjoy together. In summer, the pub is thronging with people sitting outside in the sun on the tables. It provides a good place to enjoy a summers evening with friends. In my opinion, one of the better pubs on the quay side. read more

Like everyone whos been there will tell you, its the BEST pizza! but its more than that, its situated on the quay, and makes for such a nice outside dining experience. Be it a date, or a group setting it works for everyone. This is the best place in the summer by far! and for those colder nights, dont be shy of the inside, its mega cozy and nicely decorated, the raw brick is beautiful! if your new to the area, make this a place to check out for sure! read more
