We were not prepared with a jack or the impact driver needed to get the wheel off, so we started calling businesses to see if they could help us. After several calls, the wonderful and friendly lady at Shaffers answered! She sent someone to the campground to help us within an hour of our call. The gentleman who changed our tire was super nice and explained everything. Their prices were reasonable as well. Thank you for helping us!

In fairness Colleen was on vacation when this was going on- I am quite sure she would have handled it differently. In response to my post here, Dan reached out and evaluated the problem determined how to resolve it and installed a fresh replacement part at one of their sister stores- Springfield Auto Service on Taylorsville road. While I would like it not to have happened at all, of course, speed with which they resolve the situation has reassured me a great deal. Thanks Dan! Thanks Colleen! And thanks Cory at Springfield for making it happen!

Bear with me, because this is going to be quite a review…read more I had been going to Probilt for a few years, and had gotten good work done. I was happy I had found a decent auto repair shop. Then...it all came crashing down. I went in for a routine oil change over a year ago, and when I picked it up, they charged me and I paid and I figured that was that. The mechanic, (whom I'd not seen there before,) brought it out and asked me "Did they talk to you about the timing belt?" "No." I said. He then proceeded to tell me how the timing belt had "slipped a tooth already", and that it "can lead to engine damage." I said I'd look into it but he said it would be okay to drive. When I got in my car and started driving (it's a 5-speed 2012 Ford Fiesta,) I IMMEDIATELY heard grinding and there was little to no acceleration. Remember: it was FINE when I took it in, and I had just driven a long distance trip with no problems. I brought it in for a routine oil change. I stopped off and called them back and took it back in. The woman at the front desk remembered that she hadn't remembered to tell me about a potential issue. I dropped it off again and they continued to look at it. They called back a few DAYS later and told me that it had slipped and they don't fix that. I was livid. They said they weren't covering anything financially and that it was something they couldn't help with. These are people I had gotten used to seeing and had been on friendly terms with for at least a couple years. I went to get it towed back to my home. When I got there and spoke with the tow truck guy, he said he had been towing a lot from Probilt lately and they had apparently been under new ownership. That made perfect sense. The people on the phones seemed completely different than they had been and the new mechanic seemed more than subpar. It felt as if they were just churning through cars and didn't care about anything but the payments anymore. I will NEVER go back there, and I warn anyone else against this place. Hopefully, it shuts down soon, if it hasn't already. I notice most of the good reviews are from years and years ago.

Throughout the repair, she kept me informed with regular updates and proactively communicated with both me and my insurance company. When additional damage and parts were discovered during the repair, she worked directly with the adjuster, advocated for the repairs that were needed, and kept the process moving forward. Michelle took the time to answer questions, explain the process, and make sure the vehicle was repaired correctly rather than simply taking the quickest route. The finished repair looks fantastic, and I would not hesitate to use 444 Auto Body & Customs again or recommend them to others. Thank you, Michelle, for making a stressful situation so much easier to navigate.
