They only have one thing on the menu (fish and chips) but they do it well. The fish was plump and juicy on the inside but crispy and flavorful. It was delicious even without any sauce and had the perfect amount of batter to fish. There was a line but it moved relatively fast and the food was piping hot when we got it. It held pretty well on our drive home as well. I did have to take a star off for serving Kraft tartar sauce and not their house made sauce as advertised on their website. Was finally able to try On The Hook today. Had been craving some good fried fish. Sadly, I was disappointed. Very disappointed. Three thin strips of fish that were kind of rubbery. Fries were good. Got a strawberry soda which was good, but hadn't even been refrigerated and it was 97 degrees today! I'm sure it would have tasted great ice cold! I've heard people rave about this place so I was excited to finally try it! I'm not one that normally goes for fish and chips but this was amazing. We came about half an hour before closing and the line was pretty long. It took about 30 mins from the time we got in line until we got our food but it was totally worth it! The food was hot and the fish was sooo good. It normally comes with 3 pieces of fish but they threw an extra piece into mine which I wasn't mad about. The batter was really crunchy which I prefer. It comes with tartar sauce and sriracha mayo and they were both delicious! The chips were also yummy too. Took a little adventure to Aurora to find this cute Blue food truck. Tried to look to see what was on the menu before we went, but couldn't find anything. This is the best fish and chips I've had since being in Ireland. The fish is really fresh, especially for being in a land locked state. The batter is light and flaky and there isn't a "fishy" taste to the fish; it's clean and buttery. The chips are crispy but soft. You get 2 different dips, Sriracha Mayo and tarter sauce which has a nice zip from the vinegar. You can also request vinegar. The portion is generous and the price is right.
