Lizabeth, the manager, got back to us with a quote within a few days via email and got us on the schedule quickly. Kristen was our instructor and she was awesome! She was super nice and personable and definitely made it easy for us as beginners with no rhythm. Lol We pretty much told her that neither of us dance and we wanted to learn some basics so we don't look like complete idiots on our wedding day! We started our first lesson with hand and arm positions and the basic box steps (5, 6, 7, 8...*quick, quick, slow*) and we built upon that with side steps, turning, "the cuddle" move and some other moves in the following 3 sessions. She watched each of us closely and told us what we were doing wrong or right and took turns with each of us til we got the feel for it. Each session was roughly 45 minutes long and she wrote down notes of what we covered after each session so that we all knew where we left off during the next visit. During our last session, Kristen had us try all of the moves we learned to go along with the beat of the music and it was tough! We sure had a lot of fun though! Thank you, Kristen! On our wedding day, we dance pretty well and noone fell, so that's a win in my book! I had so many questions and concerns about any change during this unprecedented time. I knew that my physical presence for getting acclimated would be highly limited based on safety protocols for the children and staff. Kyle and the team were incredibly accommodating to make sure our family was comfortable with the facility, my son's room and how the day would go from day 1. To our complete delight, everyone at Goddard went above and beyond to make sure that we all felt great about our experience. Now, many months in to being enrolled here, we're only sad that we didn't have him here sooner. His teachers are nurturing spirit of learning curiosity that will benefit him for life. While I've literally never seen him in his classroom, I feel like I'm there through the frequent photos, daily updates and the songs he sings me on the way there and the way home. Starting out I was confused with the flow of things but overtime I learned the ropes. My main gripe with ATB is that they're very much competition orientated. I really just want my girls to enjoy dance and gymnastics recreationally. I also do not want my young girls dressing in the dance recital outfits and wearing the unnecessary make up.
