Great breakfast food! Cute little place with friendly staff. Enjoyed our morning there.

Comfort food. I decided on the buffet which featured meatloaf, fried pork chops, green beans, potatoes, biscuits, and greens. The buffet comes with salad and dessert. It reminded me of my Granny's cooking (but not quite as good because nobody cooks like Granny). The staff was friendly and attentive. Everyone was welcomed and the restaurant was clean. LOVE this place. Especially since they share time with HOOKERS restaurant. Which is a genius business idea. We've never been disappointed in anything we've ordered;breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The service is good. The prices are super fair especially in comparison with the place down the road. I look forward to the blackened fish tacos or crab cake burger. They're my go to! read more

The best of home style cooking! The buffet is never a disappointment. My favorite is the Thursday fried pork chop buffet.

CASH AND CHECK ONLY, FOLKS. My husband and I were vacationing in Sargent for the second time (the first being last February) and had linner at On the Corner on one of the days we were there (you know, that weird time between lunch and dinner). We were the only people in the restaurant when we arrived but that's what happens when you are in a tiny coastal town in February at a weird dining hour. I ordered the chicken and waffles and my husband ordered the burger with fries. The chicken and waffles was pretty good, but the syrup could use some more maple flavor to really make it top notch. It also came with a side of spicy ranch. My husband said, with a mouth full of burger, "I'd come back here just for the burger." Apparently it was really good. They also have a sign saying they will start serving BBQ in April, so hopefully we can enjoy that next February. They serve breakfast every day until 11am, and it's pretty tasty. But note that they don't have a standard eggs/meat/hashbrowns/bread plate. They do, however, have a build-your-own plate so you can figure that out (i.e. eggs 60 cents each, bacon 75 cents per slice, etc). I put my stamp of approval on the half order of biscuits with sausage gravy. They have early hours during the week, closing at 3pm, and stay open until 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Receiving your food can be slow but that's the pace of Sargent...one table at a time. Keep your patience and enjoy the laid back atmosphere. You're at the coast, not the big city. read more

If you are looking for real food, the kind you grew up thinking about; not the fast food of today, without flavor, too much salt, then go to "On the Corner" diner. The hamburger was a rich combination full of delicious tasting meat - you know the one, thick, savory - you can't put it down to finish a bite. The bun is slightly crispy on the inside warm and melds into the hamburger. So wonderful - it is impossible to remember when I had a hamburger this good. Desert is equally delicious - lemon, tarte thick lemon with the lemon lingering in your mouth after each bite. Everything looked and smelled so good, everyone was kind, thoughtful,helpful - Once you visit you return again and again it's just that good! Excellent. read more

The food is amazing, I have been there on many occasions and every time the food and service is outstanding. You get more food for your dollar then most of the other restaurants around town. read more
