While the job was by far the least costly during the refurbishment, and also the lowest bid I received from garage door installation companies, it was essential for security and functionality. The installation wasn't seamless due to some manufacturer quality-control issues, but Joe was on top of the problem and had the components replaced by the manufacturer. Throughout the process, he diligently oversaw all installations. Even at the end, when I was willing to accept the flawed panel (a high bar, as I can be pretty demanding), Joe wanted it perfect. Michael was responsive (can't take that away from the guy), but in the same breath, he is overly rash and irrational when it comes to payment. Naturally, everyone wants to get paid for work performed. The problem here is he and his assistant (some lady) called my phone numerous times under an hour, of which I was unavailable to pay because I was literally presenting in a meeting for work. I warned him the day before in the scheduling phase with the tenant that I would more than likely be in meetings and to call the property management line if needed. In that SHORT period of time, he decided to uninstall everything and left (LESS than an hour). To make matters worse, the assistant (I supposed from a different phone number) implied that I'm the kind of customer who doesn't pay my bills, and would expect a bad review from someone like myself. This is all in a first impression and I never had any contact with this particular phone number. They may be competent, technical professions, but they're horrible businessmen with no customer service. They have to be a very SMALL business to behave this way - got to be. It's still odd digesting everything in how he reacted in such a short period of time. Their website speaks in how they want a long-term relationship with customers, and you just had access to the owner of a real estate company at your fingertips. Then after they offered free in-person estimate to get a better view so I went ahead and took it. The guy never arrived but I didn't wait too long since Giselle called me before notifying me that he won't be able to make it the day of so instead the Owner or something took a look at the pictures and gave me an estimate. The price was a tad bit high so I went and looked for some other companies. I got a few options through Yelp (great way to use the service btw) and told them all the lowest price I got and if they would match vs compete. Most didn't respond but Giselle called me after she got home and matched and scheduled the appointment for the next day. Mad props. Their tech arrived first thing at 8am today and just fixed our issue. Leslie was amazing. Paid attention to the details and looked like a honest man.
