I purchased a used Toyota Highlander awhile back that had pretty major damage to the front bumper…read morecover and a deep scratch on the back tailgate that almost looked like a bear had gotten ahold of it. It was a real eye sore but after quoting the repairs with several shops in town, my wife and I balked at the price and decided we didn't mind driving a kind of ugly car. Eventually the "bear" scratch began to rust and we decided that we needed to get it addressed before we ended up with extra ventilation through our tailgate. Having driven past Espino's shop several times, I was always impressed by the finished vehicles that were sitting in the driveway, all freshly painted and shined up like new. I decided to drive there one day to see what they would have to say. It was a little awkward because there isn't a front entrance so to speak, just a metal door that I opened and found myself right in the shop. I showed him what the issues were and he got on the phone to call someone about the availability of the bumper cover before quoting me a price that was lower than anybody else had been. We mainly communicated through text message but after 4 days in the shop it was finished and ready for pick up. When I arrived I hardly noticed the car because I expected to at least notice some bubbling or something where the deep scratch had been. The bumper was brand new and the paint match was very good. UPDATE: On the way back from the shop, the left front splash guard came loose and dragged against the tire. I was able to tie it back up for a quick fix. It's now been two days since I picked the car up and my wife just informed me that the front right splash guard came loose and was dragging, damaging the cover past the point of repair. The repairs that we took the car in for have been taken care of and we're very satisfied with that aspect. Unfortunately I would consider this an unfinished job considering the guards were not put back on properly. UPDATE 2: They had me bring the car back in and replaced the guard that was badly damaged and fixed the other. Mistakes happen and the way they handled it has earned my business going forward. Excellent job and service.

(2) Charlie of Charlie Horse Garage was payed a considerable sum of money, after agreeing to door swaps, and a myriad of other small things, a portion of which are still not done, a year later. When I came back to check up on the progress, I discovered Charlie had ripped out the seats and lost all the hardware, and Ben had destroyed the interior, losing precious small irreplaceable parts. Charlie and his crew have a "speedy" way of doing things. Because of this sad truth, Charlie even lost my donor car! Admittedly, they do not take direction well on your project, are unpleasant to even speak to, cannot look you in the eyes when talking, and are not careful or detailed with your project, all obvious signs of living the "high" life. (3) Charlie will roll your restoration investment out into his dirt encrusted junkyard to rust, and if you object, he will angrily shout you down. Over all the guys at Charlie Horse Garage are snake oil salesman. Just goons getting high on your success. They are classic car restoration con artists. Beware! So please do not make the same mistake as me. Take your ride and all your hard earned cash to a real "clear headed" body guy, not a dirt merchant like charlie snort garage. Slab Side Social Club.

Where do I even start with these people and this" so called" restoration business? (THIS IS GOING…read moreTO BE A VERY LENGHTY REVIEW). My cousin put his trust in the owners of this company to restore his 68 Camaro Z28 that has been in his family for decades. This all began almost a year and a half ago when the owners came to his home to look at his vehicle and he told them exactly what he wanted done to the car and told them if they did not think that they could get it completed for any reason that he would look elsewhere but they assured him that they could and that they were the right people/restoration company for his vehicle. Fast forward almost a year and a half later and he did finally get his car but the in that year and a half he was rarely contacted about how the restoration process was proceeding none of the multiple people working on the car nor any of the owners would at the very least take a couple of pics perhaps at the end of each week to show what progress had been done or lack of. He had supplied them with many oem parts which they either ended up losing, misplacing or damaging and replaced them with cheap aftermarket parts which they billed him for and which he of course paid for. He and his wife on one occasion drove there to see how the body work prep was coming along because again no one would simply reach out by phone or even with a text message or pics, so he ended up making many trips there to see the progress and it's over an hour's drive there from where he lives. While there he politely asked the painter a question about the door gaps and the painter started yelling and cursing at him right in the middle of the shop while his wife was standing nearby and could hear. I had moved to Broken Arrow at the end of September 2021 only about five miles or so from the shop and I use to just drop by once or twice a week to just take pics of the car for him so he could see the progress or lack of that was being made each week and to save him from having to make the hour plus trip there. Each time I was there the owners knew who I was and they never said hello to me much less even acknowledged my presence. It was obvious and very uncomfortable just being there. I will say that of all of the employees there the two painters located at the top of the hill who did the body work and painted the car they got someone else to do the painting after the initial guy verbally assaulted my cousin for asking a simple and polite question about the door gaps (Ceasar and his helper I apologize I can't recall his helpers name were always very professional, polite and answered any questions that I had and I always enjoyed talking with them at least I felt welcomed around them. I must also say that Fred who did a lot if not all of the interior work was also always polite to me as well. ***UPDATE*** as of today my cousin called to let me know that while driving the car home last night the rear suspension came apart due to the bolts not being properly tightened and one of the brake rotors that he paid for while at their shop was damaged and he had to not only replace it but will have to do the job himself and to add insult to injury he contacted them about this and they copped an attitude and blamed him for initially accepting and taking possession of the car before they delivered it to him via a flat bed. I wasn't aware that when spending money that you have personally worked incredibly hard and saved for decades to finally be able to have this restoration done on a car that has been in your family for multiple decades by a so-called reputable restoration shop that upon the final inspection you are supposed to literally crawl under the car and personally check to make sure that all the suspension components including the nuts and bolts have been properly tightened. I honestly could go on and on about the disgusting and dishonest things that this company has said and done but I'll leave it at this. If ANYONE is thinking about doing business with Unique Customs I would seriously reconsider and at the very least check out some other companies, their only interest is in the high dollar Mustang restorations and absolutely do not care about anything or anyone else. Good Day!

I had an answer less than an hour later from the owner "I am so sorry for what happened, I was gone for a month, what can I do to make it right!" I was surprised to receive such a fast answer and told him that my car needed some love and made a list of what needed to be done, telling him to choose whatever he wanted to do on this list. I had an answer right away "bring your car on the 7th and we will do everything on the list!" I was amazed! I got my car back last night, everything on my list has been fixed.
