The Brow Haus is owned by the licensed esthetician Amy Howard. It is a new business, but Amy has…read moremany years of experience. She offers services such as permanent makeup (e.g., brows, eyeliner, and lips), brow styling (e.g., brow stain and lamination), scar camouflage, lash lifts and tints, and permanent jewelry (e.g., metal and enamel bracelets and necklaces). Throughout my entire life, I have had sparse eyebrows, likely because of genetics. I got tired of using makeup to fill in my eyebrows, so I considered getting permanent makeup for them. I found out about the Brow Haus on social media. I made an appointment for a free consultation with Amy. She spoke very nicely with me, and she generously spent extra time to map my planned brows with makeup, calipers, and string. I think that these brows followed my bone structure and clearly showed what my permanent brows would look like. We decided that because I have oily skin, we will do powder brows, which use small, pixelated drops of color that look soft and do not fade as much. I appreciated that Amy's prices were listed on her website and that a coupon was offered. I booked my powder brows for the end of January. On that day, the appointment lasted about 2.5 hours. I filled out an online health/consent form that was several pages long and asked for appropriate information. Amy reviewed everything that we had previously discussed, again mapped my eyebrows with makeup, and applied a local anesthetic. When my skin was numb, she used a PMU machine and needles to insert pigments into my skin. Afterward my eyebrows looked fuller and darker as expected. Over the next month, my powder brows went through changes in appearance. I used a gentle cleanser and a healing balm on my eyebrows, and I avoided sun, exercise, etcetera. During days 1-3, my brows appeared dark and had slightly red skin. For days 4-14, my eyebrows very slightly flaked and mostly faded in color. For the remaining days, the color was supposed to reappear and reach its final color as my skin healed. One to two months after this initial powder-brow session, most pigment faded. Therefore, in late March, I visited Amy again for a touchup. In about two hours, she mapped my eyebrows, cleansed and numbed my skin, confirmed the color of pigment, and used different needles to insert pigments. These touchup brows look a bit warmer, solid, and larger than my previous brows. Over the next month or so, I will see how they heal!

I can't recommend Amy at The Brow-Haus enough! Her studio is so warm and inviting, and she…read moreinstantly makes you feel comfortable. Amy takes the time to really listen to how you want your brows to look, making sure you feel confident every step of the way. This is probably the fifth time she has worked on my brows, and I love how they've evolved from the initial appointment to their current perfected look. I couldn't be more satisfied with the results. If you're unsure about microblading, Amy's patient, friendly, and professional approach will put you at ease--I would recommend her to anyone!

She's super knowledgeable and doesn't pressure you to do anything that you're not completely comfortable with. She's so personable as well and makes it feel like I'm just hanging out with one of my girlfriends and I love when I have a visit scheduled with her. Karen is amazing at facials! She's helped fix issues I have with my skin and the scalp massage during the facial ends up feeling heavenly! The prices are also very affordable and they have a rewards program that you can join that helps get you discounts and free treatments just by being a regular customer. Glad I finally found a spa that I knows their stuff and that I can be a regular at.

Weeks would go by with no communication despite my trying. Eventually, several months and about ten emails later (most going with no response), I sent one last email saying either book my appointment or refund my money. I did get a response then with a time and date, and I scheduled it! I had been looking forward to this facial for too long with my mother! Day came, and the Center was easy to find. The facilities were beautiful and the staff and even other clients were extremely friendly. The facial itself was amazing (you should see the GUNK that gets out of your skin), and the owner was super friendly and apologetic for the scheduling mishap. We'll be going back for more treatments and my mother even wants to plan a spa day for my cousins and aunts and me!

I was nervous but she assured me she knew how to cut curly hair. She was over confident. I ended up with the absolute worst cut of my life. It's so bad I'm embarrassed. I've tried every way I know to style it and I tried every product she suggested and it's just horrible. Before she started I told her all my concerns. I told her it's curlier on top and in the front than underneath and in the back. She completely ignored me and now those issues are much worse. The stylist before her left me with a tail in the back. She said she fixed it. She did not. After she diffused my hair and I came up from having my hair flipped over, I was horrified. I looked like Roseanne Rosanna Danna. I was more horrified that she thought it looked good. I told her I wasn't used to it being so poofed. She smoothed it some but it was still bad. I was charged $90 and all s did was pull out a few of my curls and slice down them. Now over a month later I still can't do anything to make it look nice. It's a chopped up mess. Also she was very judgemental about the products I used and she made herself out to be a hair styling god. Far from it. I was so disgusted with my hair this morning I asked for a refund. She said they don't do that but I could come in to get reassessed. There is no way in hell I'll ever go back there.
