I took my dog to the veterinarian so they could examine him and submit all the required documentation to the United States Department of Agriculture. Once the application is reviewed, the USDA mails the endorsed health certificate back to me. For that reason, I needed to provide a prepaid overnight shipping label. My veterinary clinic recommended that I obtain this label through UPS or FedEx to ensure I receive the certificate on time, as it must be issued within 10 days prior to travel. I visited this UPS Store where I was first assisted by the owner "Paul" the the day after by an employee named Torres. Unfortunately, both refused to help and insisted that what I was requesting could not be done. Despite explaining that other UPS locations regularly provide this service and even showing him an example label. He remained dismissive and did not offer any alternative solution. Instead, he focused on unrelated explanations about surcharges rather than trying to assist. This was not my first disappointing experience at this location. On a previous visit last year, I was told I would be charged simply to have tape applied to my package. That kind of nickel-and-diming, combined with the lack of willingness to help, reflects poorly on the store. (This store clearly needs a new owner/management customer oriented) I then went to another UPS location nearby (1856 N Nob Hill Rd, Plantation, FL). The owner there, Juan, was extremely helpful. He immediately understood the request, created the shipping label within minutes, and even scanned and emailed it to me so I could forward it to my veterinarian. This experience clearly highlighted the difference in customer service. While one location was unhelpful and dismissive, the other was efficient, knowledgeable, and solution-oriented. I highly recommend the Plantation location for anyone needing assistance.

Why you ask, let me share my experience. Last week I went out of town on a cruise, and I needed my passport. I did not have my passport, which I hadn't received from the passport agency. The night before I was to leave, I was frantic. I hadn't received anything back from the passport agency, and I was leaving the following afternoon. After getting ahold of Royal Caribbean I found out that all wasn't lost. If I wasn't stopping in Cuba, my license and birth certificate would suffice. Only problem, my birth certificate which was also with the passport agency. Yet again all wasn't lost, as I Royal Caribbean informed my that a notarized copy of my birth certificate would be acceptable. It just so happened, I had two photo copies of my birth certificate. I found all of this out Saturday around midnight. Sunday morning, 6 am, I started to make calls to Notaries (I know! So early on a Sunday, what a jerk I must be). At 8 o'clock, I received a call from Michelle, saying that she would be able to help me, but that I may need more than just a notarized copy of my birth certificate, but I may also need another document, and that she would do some research and call me back. About 5-10 min after we hung up, she called me back, let me know I needed the copy notarized and an Affidavit. She met me, close to my house, and I had everything I needed by 10am. She came prepared with everything I needed to board! Professional to a T, and was as concerned about my issue as I was. I was still nervous as I boarded that day, thinking this couldn't be it, and that I was going to be turned around and escorted out of the port. Not the case. Michelle was absolutely correct about everything she said I needed, and I enjoyed the first vacation I have had in about 10 years.

On 11/10/20 Kyle Russell from South Florida Mobile Notary Service, was sent to my apartment in order for us to sign the final papers for the home my husband and I just purchased. The utter disrespect my husband and I have received from this woman was truly disheartening. Originally, my husband had asked her to please come as early as possible today so we are able to complete the paperwork on time as I work from home and had to start at 11:30am est. Ms. Russell stated she was able to come at 11am. Ms. Russell arrived 10 minutes late to our apartment. Although I find punctuality to be of extreme importance, I do understand that there are some circumstances that may make a person late, so I chose to not address her lack of punctuality when she arrived. I proceeded to offer her a seat at our dining room table and informed her I would need to have my laptop out because I will be starting work soon at 11:30am est. Ms. Russell responded rudely and abruptly by saying, "Seriously? You should have told me to come earlier, I have been up since 6am." First and foremost, I do not need to know the time she has been up since. I am a Mom of 3 babies all under 2 years old. I have been up since 2am however Ms. Russell was not at my apartment today for the purpose of sharing what time we each woke up this morning. Ms. Russell then proceeded to tell me and I quote, "this is more important," when referring to her opinion (which was not asked for) regarding whether or not my career or signing the papers for the purchase of my new home had more importance. Again, this was a statement she decided to randomly provide without being asked to provide it. After her rude remarks, my husband had to finally ask her if we can please just start the signing process. Which I was fully able and capable of doing simultaneously while I worked. I have never been so blatantly disrespected by a stranger in my own home in my entire life. I am a registered nurse and my husband, a fireman working on the frontlines taking care of COVID patients. I have twin 8 month daughters, and a 19 month old son whom were all present during this incident. The lack of respect Ms. Russell has shown to us today truly ruined what should have been the most exciting moment for us. We were beyond thrilled and excited to finally sign the papers today for the purchase of our forever home, and this is what we had to endure? We paid $160 for Ms. Russell to step into our home and treat us so disrespectfully and as if we were burdening her in some way. It is not about the money for me, I am so disgusted with what occurred and I hope this letter can prevent this from happening to another family in the future. I would never recommend this notary service to anyone. I have already sent this to the title company as well as their numerous affiliates who use notary services regularly, and they will no longer be using your services.
