Peeling Polish I got an acrylic fill and the next day my polish started to peel. When I returned to Omni Nails to have my polish redone, management said their policy is to charge $41 for an acrylic polish change. When I stated that the only reason I needed a polish change was because my nails were peeling, I was told, "that's the policy". It's unfortunate that the owner doesn't want to make it right when something goes wrong. She lost a regular customer. read more

Went in for a manicure and pedicure. I was attended quickly, but the person helping me was slightly rude and just stared after I stated what I wanted. I got a gel manicure and pedicure with a French tip on both. The pedicure was fine and they look good. I noticed the person doing the pedicure was polishing the French tip line, so that the line would look nice and clean. However, the person doing my nails didn't do this and the French tip on my nails came out crooked as the line isn't even. There were a few nails where I could tell that it wasn't done correctly, the line on the nail wasn't complete all the way around, or the line had slight chips. The person doing my nails also put chrome on top and when I said they looked nice she told me it was $10 extra, when I told her I didn't want that she got slightly annoyed despite not letting me know the price beforehand. Nail polish also started chipping on two nails less than a week from getting them done even tho I paid extra for gel. read more

If I could give this nail salon a ZERO, I would. I had hip replacement surgery, almost 11 weeks ago, so my feet were in bad shape. (And I apologized to the gal + I would have given her at least a $25 tip for her efforts.) I told the gal I had hip surgery. Don't know IF she even listened to me, OR she did not understand what I said. I usually do my own pedicures + due to surgery, cannot bend to work on my own toes. The gal that worked on my feet, only said, "Hello" - never introduced herself. hardly talked to me + she looked grumpy from the very beginning. I should have walked OUT, just from her major attitude. I don't know what IS going on with her life - maybe a bad day OR a BAD life! She cut the SKIN on my big toe on my left foot, (see picture) to the point it bled. AND it hurt!! (Still hurts, after over an hour) When I called her attention to the cut, she shook her head, "Yes". She NEVER apologized!!! PLUS, she used a sharp utensil on a toe on my right foot - no blood, but, it, too, now hurts + I can barely touch it. My 2 toes hurt SO much, I CANNOT wear closed toes shoes, which I am supposed to be wearing, per doctors' orders. Besides the damage to my toes, this gal was really rough, grabbing my feet, as she worked. She was especially ROUGH with the foot/leg I recently had hip surgery on. I left before the pedicure was done. AND, I did NOT pay. I WILL NOT pay to be badly treated AND now CANNOT wear closed toed shoes. I guess you can say, I will NEVER go back! read more

This is one of my favorite nail salons, and I've always had great experiences here. But unfortunately, my most recent visit (yesterday) was not a good one. The technician who did my pedicure (someone I hadn't had before) ripped the skin on my big toe while trying to remove what I think was a hangnail. It started bleeding during the service and still continues to sting and bleed today. Even today, I still have to keep it covered with a Band-Aid and apply medication, which is frustrating because I can't even show off the pedicure. What made me a little uneasy was that even though I chose to let the service continue, the fact that it was an open wound while my feet were placed back in the water, tools were reused, and gel was applied and cured under the UV light raised some concerns about potential infection or cross-contamination. To their credit, they did let me leave free of charge, which I appreciated. I still plan to come back because I've had good experiences in the past, but I'll definitely be requesting a different technician from now on. read more

I'll start with the positive, jasmine is great. She did my boyfriend's nails flawlessly, and fast. I had a different experience. My nail tech cut me multiple times. I watched her continuously look away from my nails while using a sharp metal cuticle pushing tool, and while using cuticle cutters. As a result she cut me two times, causing blood, and cut one of my nails deep into my nail bed. She then failed to shape my nails at all with a file despite the clear gel I was getting. Now I can see the uneven, unfilled whiles of my nails through the gel. The gel itself is uneven, on a few nails, with sharp points sticking out of the surface. One of my nails is not completely coated in gel, as the tech failed to cover part of my pinky nail completely. She was extremely ruff while hand filling my nails surface, and rubbed the file down to near the first knuckle on the majority of my fingers. They are now red and irritated before a nice dinner. Besides the pain and poor execution, I was not informed of multiple up charges. They did not mention that gel cost $20 extra, and did not mention that each design cost extra. We expected to pay for two basic manicures, and ended up paying $140 for two sets. Again Jasmin was great and talented. So ask for her, and plan to get uncharged read more

my friend went to this place to get her nails done she got Vi doing her nails. as a guy who doesn't know anything about nails, i can tell you right now this looks like garbage. i can literally see the unevenness of her nails. somehow its matted. it looks like a chalkboard. when she went back to get it fixed Vi said there's nothing wrong and blamed her skin, pores and dried cuticles. The work they did was passable for a gel pedicure. Not spectacular but okay for a simple pedicure called Simply Pedi for $35 and an additional $20 for gel. The process seemed quick and efficient as there were only a few customers. I ( and the rest of us customers) just had to listen to and put up with the tonal conversations among the Vietnamese staff. All throughout my pedi, my pedicurist carried a loud conversation with multiple staff members although she did insert some "Are you okay" bits that, I realized later on, were directed to me. It was a bit challenging to figure out if she was talking to me or someone else. I was wondering how she could multitask like that but she did an okay job overall. The experience was hardly relaxing so I'm not sure if I'll use their services again. If I do, I'll make sure to bring my earbuds haha. read more

I usually go to nail studio San Carlos but I recently moved a little ways from there so it's hard to get down there but I am now a mile from Omni Nails. This was my 3rd time going. The first time I got the highest gel pedi and a gel fill and was charged around $135. The second time I got the same thing and was charged $133 the 3rd time I was charge 128$ but did not get the highest gel pedi but 2 lower. First red flag but I decided to go one last time. I did not get the pedi because I did not like the change in pricing and felt they were being dishonest so I only got the gel fill. Once my nails were done I noticed they were lumpy and the lady seriously rushed my nails. I felt because I was not getting the pedi they did not care. That was Monday. Tuesday my pinky broke clean off. I did not make it back that day due to work however Tuesday my ring finger nail also cracked across and broke! That was it! I came over right after work on Wednesday. They had me waiting for over 45 minutes for the same lady who rushed my nails to do it again! Trash customer service and horrible work! This will be my absolute last time coming! I recommend Nail Studio San Carlos and ask for Jenny for nails and Min for pedi they are the bomb ! read more

I did not have a good experience at this place. It was my first time here recently and given the great reviews on yelp I decided to get my nails here done before a very important trip. I went in to get Chrome gel nails. The nail tech did such a bad manicure that she gave me cuts that bled in at least 4 places which kept hurting and bothering me for the next few days. Even the quality of the manicure was bad, the Chrome started shopping away within the next day of getting it. I expressed my concern to the establishment and they did refund me half of what I had paid but the receptionist was rude and I could see she wanted me to not blame them. She even said to me "everyone's skin is different, that's why you got the cuts, it's not the manicurist ". I wasn't born yesterday nor was this my first time getting My nails done. They ruined my trip and hurt my hand bad that it was a hinderance while I was on this said trip. I feel it's more like the people here didn't care about how their actions would affect a customer. I went into OMNI nails to get an acrylic set, they came out really nice the shape was good the color was gorgeous but after just two days I had a nail fall off, nothing crazy I went in a got it fixed for no charge. The next day the same nail I had gotten fixed fell off again along with four other nails, and the nails that were still on the paint was chipping... it hadn't even been a week. For $60 although they looked beautiful I would like my nails to last more than four days. read more

Im so so sad writing this review. I came in for a acrylic removal and simple manicure after having the acrylics on for 2 weeks for a wedding. The lady who took them was just prying the acrylics off with another fake nail and it hurt so much she pried the nail off my small finger and it bled and I had to ask her to stop before she just did an acetone soak and file to remove the other acrylics. She kept blaming me for keeping the acrylics on for too long, I honestly wanted to cry the whole time I was in the chair. Then at the end she made a comment about how this all took 30 minutes. At the end of the "manicure" she brought up a really hot bowl of water and insisted I put my pinky in it and I had to advocate for myself and say no. The manager walked over at this point and didn't say anything. I ended up paying the full $35 and leaving. Im never coming back here again and I've been a loyal customer since 2021. I really just wanted to be cared for and have my nails taken care of. I barely get acrylics so I didn't know what was "too long" to have them on. Another note is when I checked in for a walk in, another nail technician at the front was giving me a really dirty look. I came in at 5:40p so it wasn't closing time (7p). Unfortunately I cannot recommend the Dip Manicure here. It was the worst dip manicure I've ever had. Got my nails done because I had a big work related event week. Needed some nice nails, but instead I have 3 broken nails on day 3 and no time to get them fixed. Such a bummer. I got dip, with tips and literally the tips were soft and quickly bent off the tip wasn't even placed flush to my actual najl. You can see how bad the one on the right is. Lumpy and not even smooth, ready to break. Left one is one I got fixed right after work at a different place (I couldn't go all the way back to Mira Mesa) which meant more time and more money. Did they use the wrong product? Why was the dip so soft, I've never had it like that before. I really liked the lady who fixed my nails but she's up in Oceanside. read more

Do not recommend, low quality work for an insane price. They don't have their menu posted anywhere in the establishment and only show you the prices after the nails are finished. I went in to get an old acrylic set removed so that i could get a new set and pedicure. The nail tech stated by using a cuticle trimmer to cut the acrylic then tried to rip them off without a soak off. I was cut multiple times on my cuticles and toes, as well as burnt with the drill. They also failed to mention that gel on toes is $20 extra on top of the pedicure fee until she was already painting the second coat of polish. I spent $135 before tip on the worst nails i've ever gotten, they are thick and bulky, they also left polish all over my cuticles. Don't waste your money, this place sucks!!! read more
