I didn't even know that was a thing! But the ortho I knew just from us both rounding at Emory convinced me he would be able to tell what was wrong. Unfortunately his horrible care and poor treatment plan left me no choice but to get the MRI. He of course ordered one but with my crap insurance plan it would have cost more out of pocket to pay for their facility rather than this place. $399 for an MRI! Now you have to consider deductibles because for some, it might make sense to use a place going through insurance. But for me this was my best option. In fact in hindsight I could have saved over $200 and not even gotten that horrible medical advice and just gotten the MRI myself. It would have circumvented a lot of BS I went through. You just go online, book your appointment and show up. Awesome! It was a very clean facility. They were punctual. The girl at the front desk was awesome!! She was so sweet and helpful. She was caring and just a great person to have to make you feel comfortable. She was empathetic as well. The MRI only took 20 minutes and I was in and out. Also, they have a 1.5 tesla machine for those who are interested. So the quality is good. And the read came back the same day. Also when the ortho called me he told me the same thing that was on the report so that gave me more confidence in their radiologist. Great option for some people, not everyone but it was a wonderful choice for me and they got me in quick too!

Since that was such a high deductible and the appointments at the hospital were so parsed, I decided to search for a private facility. After research and reviews, I chose this location. My experience was exceptional from the very first call with inquiries, to appointment availability, to check-in, to the tech who was warm, and accommodating. The only reason a star from the rating is because they didn't have the newer machine that pipes in music with surround sound headsets nor did they have warm blankets. Both of which I don't mind because the cost is kept lower by omitting things like that offered at the major hospitals.. The best part is instead of $1200 to Piedmont Hospital I paid $499 and got a copy of the imaging CD for my Dr.I will definitely be using this location for my medical imaging needs in the future. He also sent a salesman to my room with an electric vest that would shock my heart if a heart attack- I had a cold sweat and didn't have and pain and never explained it to me why =didn't make any sense to me and I returned - bottom line if your fit and exercize often -don't smoke or seldom drink you will not be happy here. Since moving to Marietta 2 1/2 years ago, I have seen 5 different family quacks, and could not find…read moreone single one that I wanted to have as my regular doctor. Today, at Kenmar Family Practice, all started off well since a nurse called me back inside of the 5 minutes that I got there. She of course did all the basics of height, weight, pulse.... But then after she was done, she said "Wait a few minutes, and the doctor will be right in." 40 minutes later, he STILL had not walked in and nobody peeked in the room saying he was going to be longer than expected. I was starting to struggle to keep my eyes open. He finally came in and simply was "OK" in testing and conference and quickly referred me to a specialist. All in all, out of the half dozen other quacks out of Marietta that I have seen in the past 30 months, he was the better of all evil, and I will come back to try again since it is much better than all other locations.

I've called the office over 10 times in the month that I was there. And not one returned call. But receptionist assure me AUDRI had gotten each message. MRI was done but never went over. Never met Dr. Puppala. Didn't talk to anyone about my problem. But was given appointments for TFESI what is that 2 one week apart. And as I scheduled for both they change the location after I had made arrangements for ride all 4 times.Just for them to cancel. But what really is something once again I failed another test.NO WAY. If they aren't contaminating the specimen there they are being contaminated at the lab. But I do know I don't abuse drugs never have never will. I take all my medicines the way they were prescribe. But from the beginning they tried pushing that SPINAL CORD STIMULATOR telling me the injection wouldn't do me any good mind you they schedule them. Then Ms. Audra tells me the doctor said will no longer write anymore pain meds if I don't do it. I've had 3 failed back surgeries. 12 surgeries on my body in all. Top it off I was given a referral the first visit to see a shrink. I found this out as I was checking out. She didn't mention it. Again she and since I never met the doctor. I ask and received a copy of my MRI. And notice that the contrast that they need to see in depth said the uneventful administration of intravenous contrast. WHAT? No one mention it and since it's the doctor job to go over imaging he never did. Never saw him. Never heard of such in all tests, MRIs, CTScans, Ultra sounds, Xrays and Blood work and believe me I've had plenty. Every doctor as always gone over every test but this one. And they make sure they give you weakest form of meds so you are in pain. Not everyone out here is abusing drugs or addicts. And I understand the Opiod epidemic. I know too many that has lost their lives. But I also know for myself after going through this for over 18yrs and have done and follow everything my doctors had advised. And as I read over my MRI and looking up the medical words I don't understand my back is in bad shape. I have everything that cries out pain. So he knows I not making up the pain I'm in And he also the meds that he prescribe went from a 8mg for 30 days to 4 then 2. To him I'm a dollar sign. And that Stimulater cost as much as one of my fusions. I don't want another cut on my body. Don't want anything implanted in my body that sends electric shock to my brain. And the cost that's another thing. BIG BUCKS. for doctors. I can't afford. And he don't have to write another pain script. He is right and I'll never go back again. And I will do my homework when choosing the next doctor.

Doctor is good. Nurses are good (the few I've had contact…read morewith). The office staff (lady at the front counter) has always been rude and unpleasant. I've always had to wait significant amounts of time in the waiting room (20-30 minutes, or more), but not very long once in an exam room. I usually have to wait a while to be checked in, so don't count on being seen at your appointment time if you show up on time... Doctor seems competent, though. I'd recommend him for your GP, but you will have to look past the rude front desk experience. I used to see Dr. Lance in the same practice, but he left apparently to do other types of medicine (occupational, I think). Lab services on-site. Waiting room is extremely irritating with advertisement televisions blaring obnoxious music and useless information at you over and over. Bring earplugs and a good book, or feel free to peruse the multitude of pharmaceutical pamphlets that litter the book shelves.
