In one friend's case, Dr. Huang was not able to remedy his long-held retina injury. In the other gentleman's case, Dr. Huang gave my friend the miracle of better sight with glaucoma surgery. You've given a gift to an 87 -year old who worked hard all his life, when you've improved his vision. I'll always be grateful to Dr. Huang for his expert care to my two friends.
So now I've developed a vision challenge of my own. I started out at another ophthalmologist practice because the office was 'closer'. Yeahright. I had a reaction to the dilation fluid and a test that they sent me to take. I should have gone to Dr. Huang in the first place, I wouldn't have needed those tests... The question was, is an eye lift considered necessary, as in covered by medical insurance, or cosmetic, which is not. Dr. Huang knowledgeably said: it would be considered cosmetic because the eyelid is not covering half the eye. I don't recommend you get it anyway, because you have dry eyes now.
"Oh".......so I might have saved those multiple appointments had I asked the expert?
May I say to the other reviewers here...have patience....it is the nature of a busy office.
There are several tests, a patient is going room to room, some patients are of advanced age. It's a busy office because they're good. When you find an excellent handyman or painter, mechanic or surgeon, you're going to have a wait....it's because he or she is good. Dr. Huang's office opens at 7 a.m., I still can't believe it and I've been there twice at that time. If you're tight for time, consider that first appointment. I must say, though, the office needs space management work. There must be computer-assisted design for medical offices, find it and use it, the office can have better flow. As one reviewer stated, one of the test machines is in the thruway. C'mon. The office is spacious, use the space better. Now, please, Soapbox Time. Each of us has a job to do with medical billing. It's changing, it's in flux, but we'll all wind up in a better place if we learn, and teach what we have learned. Why do I need this test? What is it? Do you have a list of the associated costs on your website? Had I a list of the test names, I could have called my hospitalization myself to see what was covered. I'll bring it up when I go back. Learn and teach. In my unfortunate "first ophthalmologist" case...I guesssssss they told me to bring sunglasses for the test. In Dr. Huang's office, there's a box of sunglasses there, need a pair---take 'em. I think a lot of medical offices need feedback and suggestions. With eyecare, with the tests, we're all new at it. Some people are Mr. Magoo without their glasses. All of us are briefly disoriented with eye tests. Patience. Learn. Teach. Be thou Grateful.
Dr. Huang is a highly trained specialist. I have firsthand experience with the seniors I brought to Dr. Huang, and now, twenty years later--for me. He's the best.
