Sadly, the best spots to eat in the airport are outside of the terminals, as Eppley was built long before Yelp reviews of strict-ass TSA Checkpoints existed. I suppose it's all for the better. That said, it's the main reason security at Eppley is such a bottleneck and the terminals are so cramped. Hey, if we get those passenger numbers up, they might build a brand new modern terminal. I politely would walk away from the individuals and have nothing to do with them. The police would not answer the phone, not send the police, not tell them to leave me alone and never enforce the law or charge them. For my first time trying to work professionally with the OPD - very unprofessional and did not uphold the law. It was a waste of time. To honor, protect and serve - well, it doesn't work that way in Omaha apparently.

The fourth floor was where the jailer and his family lived. The staff were very nice and knowledgeable about the place. This is not free but your $10 is definitely worth it. Their small gift shop (also were you check in) has shirts, pins, and magnets. This is walking distance from the Union Pacific Railroad Museum which is also another place to see in Council Bluffs.
